"We lived our stay at this very authentic ryokan like hotel. The staff were generous and kind, we were able to book the private onsen for a very reasonable price to accommodate our tattoos and our family going together. The half board was delicious. This is not a luxury stay so much as a real Japanese cultural experience and we had a great time as a family of four USA folk with teens."

"Loved being in the mountains with the quiet and beauty. My initial room smelled moldy and appeared old and not well kept and hotel staff was responsive-had to stay in a cottage one night as the hotel was full then my room was changed to a modern clean lovely smelling room on a high floor that was great.
The onsen was lovely.
My biggest complaint is the lack of gluten free dining options. Although everything is labeled with allergens, out of maybe 50 dishes each meal the only gluten free options...
