"From the moment we arrived, Lux Marijani delivered a truly five-star experience that we simply cannot fault. This has been one of the best holidays we’ve ever had, and it’s all thanks to the incredible team who make every guest feel genuinely valued. The welcome starts at reception, where the team take the time to get to know you. They remembered our names throughout our stay, which added such a personal touch and made us feel genuinely at home from day one. Our room was beautiful, especially with its sea view and bathtub, making it the perfect place to relax after each day. The housekeeping team work incredibly hard and consistently go above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect. A special thank you to David at the bar, whose service was exceptional throughout our stay. He was always happy to create cocktails tailored to our personal tastes, and his banana smoothies are simply the best! A special mention also goes to Mrisha, who regularly looked after us on the beach, taking and delivering our drinks with a smile. It was another example of the attentive service that makes this resort so special. Martin and Issac in the restaurant were wonderful hosts—kind, engaging and incredibly knowledgeable. Every meal was a pleasure, and although we’ve mentioned them by name, every member of the restaurant team was first class. In fact, every member of staff across the resort deserves recognition. There are simply too many to mention individually, but it’s clear they genuinel"

"Mizingani Seafront Hotel is an atmospheric, character-filled heritage hotel in a wonderful Stone Town location. It is not a modern, polished resort-style property, and that is really part of its appeal. The charm is in the old-world Zanzibar feel: the carved timber, arched balconies, tiled details, sea views, inner courtyard and slightly labyrinthine layout of rooms, staircases and quiet corners. The property has a real sense of place. You feel the history of Stone Town around you, while still being close to the waterfront, Forodhani Gardens, the ferry area and the main sights. The courtyard pool area is especially lovely — almost hidden away from the busy seafront — and gives the hotel a calm, intimate feel. For travellers who enjoy atmosphere, heritage architecture and a property with genuine character rather than something sleek and generic, Mizingani is a memorable place to stay."
