Steakhouse overrated
Several reviews seemed to praise the California Steakhouse restaurant. So we tried sirloin steak anf filet mignon, and were disappointed. Beef quality definitely not up to western standards. Best food in this restaurant seems to be the Japanese one. Not really a surprise because most foreign guests are from Japan. Hotel is good. Service and friendliness are good. Kabin Buri has, unfortunately, nothing to offer besides close proximity to Khao Yai NP.

My wife and I have been staying here regularly for a couple of years. This latest experience wasn't great. There was no hot water in the early evening and the air-conditioner was very noisy. It was like sleeping next to a surf beach. The breakfast is ok but not as good as it was a year ago.

Have stayed here many times. Very nice rooms, decent gym and good dining options nearby. The breakfast buffet has fallen off a little bit but still ok. Will stay here again and recommend it to others.

The entire staff is excellent. Very professional and polite. Food service is excellent probably the best food iv had in a hotel. I come at least 1 a yr as for my family comes twice a year. Highly recommend thank you

It was ok, but can be better
It was ok, 1 of the best one in the area, however, English may still be an issue. The room fitted with washing machine but you need to purchase the laundry powder, which is unusual. Compare to Bangkok's other 4 or 5 stars may still have room to improve.

A surprisingly well appointed affluent hotel
Stayed here on a lark and was taken aback by the level of attention to foremost the design of the place. For example, layout and quality of the bathroom. On more than one occasion the bathroom in suites in Bangkok general pay more attention to fashion design on other aspects and leave little room for the bathroom or put too much into a bathroom that the water finds its way to look up in the center of the room not close to a drain. Secondly the beds are comfortable and don't aggravate my bad back either. The tv channels and some aspects of the restaurant cuisine point to a business hotel catering to foreign businessman (japanese) that have dealings with the three big conglomerates in the area. The hotel is situated on the main thoroughfare running thru the city and is close to the bus terminal and about 3 miles away from the train station. Also if you want to do laundry get the bedroom suites, they sell soap at the small convenience store at the entrance to the grounds. Three excellent restaurants are within short walking distance and two of them have live bands on most nights it seems.

A one night stopover in transit on long trip
Kabin Buri is not a tourist centre. It is a major intersection of two trunk routes. The traffic pattern should be approached with great care by drivers who are unfamiliar with it. It might best be described as a commercial stopping point, not for leisure unless for honeymooners who don't wish to leave their beds THe traffic pattern, although confuing is no fault of the hotel. The Kantaray itself is very well appointed and well up to 5 star international standards but with two codicils. 1. It focuses on and is designed around Japanese visitors - coach parties. 2. It has no conventional bar. Drinks are served but must be taken in the dining room. Rumours abound that they put on an "eat all you can for 300 baht" every night. False, no they do not. Those great value events only occur to fit the Japanese visitor roster.. Should you decide to eat out, obliquely across the road you'l find a restaurant built in the all-wooden rustic style named The Verona. Our schedule denied us the chance to listen to their nighttime live band and other pizazz. We travelled as a mature couple, a twosome, sans kids.. . ..

Great hotel.
The Kantary is probably more expensive than other hotels in the area, but it is well worth the additional cost. Its location is great, just off highway 304. Only four years old (it opened in 2010), the hotel is clean and well maintained. The suites are quite spacious, very well appointed, confortable and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the service is excellent, and the restaurant offers a diversified menu and tasty food.

aufgrund der positiven bewertungen haben wir dieses hotel gewählt, es hat sich gelohnt. das preis- leistungsverhältnis ist ausgezeichnet. hervorheben muss man die sehr gute qualität der speisen im restaurant. das alles zu wirklich moderaten preisen. wir hatten eine kleine meinungsverschiedenheit bezüglich der abrechnung eines golf arrangements, man hat sich darum gekümmert allerdings ohne übereinstimmung im ergebnis. wir kommen gerne wieder buchen dann aber hotel und golf separat, gerne mit dem discount vom hotel für die golfplätze.

Godt hotel med venlig service
Vi valgte hotellet, fordi det lå syd for Khao Yai og relativt tæt på nationalparken. Værelset var dejligt stort og rent med fint badeværelse, og personalet var hjælpsomt og venligt. Pool-området var fint og rent - super at slappe af med en svømmetur efter en varm dag i bil. God restaurant.

Das Kantary in Kabinburi ist ein neues, modernes Hotel Vierstern Hotel welches Hauptsächlich von nationalen sowie internationalen Geschäftsleuten welche sich in der Gegend aufhalten, besucht wird. Freundliches und kompetentes Personal begrüssen einem in der Rezeption. Eine "executive" Lounge, in welcher nur die Hotelgäste zutritt haben, kann man sich mit frischem Kaffee und Cookies kostenlos verwöhnen lassen. Die Zimmer sind modern, hell und geräumig, Die Badezimmer sind mit Badewanne und separaten Duschen ausgestattet. Einen eleganten Pool, sowie einem (heissem) Im Schatten gelegenen grossen Whirlpool begeisterten mich sehr. Das Frühstück war recht gut, mit nicht allzugrosser Auswahl, leider ohne frischen Kaffee, sowie Sirup-Säften. Meine Frau und ich hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Kantary. Wir können dieses Hotel bestens empfehlen.

Nichts fuer den Urlaub
Das Kantary Hotel scheint ausschliesslich auf Geschaeftsleute und wohlhabende Klientel ausgerichtet zu sein. Es wird gute Kleidung erwartet und das Servicepersonal ist stets geschaeftsmaessig "freundlich" und aufmerksam. Leider ist der Wohlfuehlfaktor aus meiner Sicht gegen Null. Servicetechnisch gab es aus meiner Sicht echte Schwaechen - staendig war das Toulettenpapier knapp (teilweise sogar alle) und es stand kein Ersatz ersichtlich bereit. Die Zimmerreinigung war (bis auf den letzten Tag) den Hotelanspruechen entsprechend nicht ausreichend - Die Betten sind sehr unbequem (jeden Morgen Rueckenschmerzen, die ich sonst nie habe). Der Kaffeeausschank war echt suboptimal, man durfte sich keinen Kaffee selbst holen, es wurde aber gleichzeitig viel zu selten am Tisch (wenn ueberhaupt) Kaffeeausschank angeboten. Ist man also mit der Tasse zur "Kaffeedame" gegangen und hat um Ausschank gebeten, wurde man angewiesen, sich zu setzen. Diese kam dann vorbei. Ueberhaupt war das Personal beim Fruehstueck ziemlich "arrogant". Man fuelte sich beim Fruehstueck staendig extrem beobachtet. Die thailaendische "echte" Freundlichkeit ist im Kantary leider eine Seltenheit. Der Hotelpreis ist in meinen Augen nicht gerechtfertigt. Nicht einmal WiFi ist im Zimmer kostenlos (150 Bath/Tag), auch die Programmauswahl ist ein Witz fuer ein solches Hotel (nicht einmal DW). Dies sind meine ganz persoenlichen Erfahrungen.

Veldig bra hotel. Service og rom var veldig bra. Minus for ensformig frokost, etter 5 dager er man lei toast med stekt egg/syltetøy. Liten pool med mye barn, ergo hoppet jeg over den.
