This hotel was once a prison. There might be an inside joke in making this into a hotel, but it is a pleasant place. Service was very good, from reception to check-out. Especially noteworthy was the breakfast—freshly baked breads and pastries were excellent. They had an amazing selection of teas and overall, a very pleasant start to the day.

Good location, not so good value for money
Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. There was wear and tear in the hotel, and the value for money was not there (200+ eur per room). Breakfast times are extremely crowded. Special coffee costs extra..

Clean, Friendly, and well Appointed.
Solo was great. A short walk across a pedestrian bridge from the train station. Being in Scandinavia the standards are somewhat higher, but the Solo was very well accommodated, clean, and staff was very friendly and helpful. I arrived late after an international flight and train ride from Helsinki. The receptionist created a key such that I could use the gym/sauna after hours and created a map with directions to a few local shops so I could pickup a few things I had forgotten.

Fantastic hotel in Jyvaskyla
Great hotel as a base for exploring central Finland. We had a great stay. We appreciated the bikes, umbrellas, coffee maker, breakfast buffet. Service in the room, restaurant and front desk was excellent. We managed to get around by train and bus service in the area which was conveniently located close to the hotel.

Nice modern hotel with friendly staff
The hotel is new and clean, common areas nice an stylish. Rooms pretty basic and plain. The staff is very friendly. Recommend this in Jyväskylä.

Will definately stay again, wonderful experience.
Hotel is modern and well maintained, In a lovely location overlooking the lake. The sauna experience and views are nice and the facial masks and cleansers wonderful for a relaxed and refreshed feeling. Staff were very helpful in providing suggestions and tips and they arranged a take away breakfast for my early flight which was fabulous. The restaurant is also very good, the truffle and pork cheek risotto was wonderful.

Modern hotel close to the lakeside.
We enjoyed out 2 night stay. The room was a generous size, the location was perfect so close to the lake, the bed very comfortable and the view from the room stunning. We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. The two staff in the restaurant were totally run off their feet but they were very friendly and did their best everyone happy.

Best hotel in Jyvaskyla
The hotel was very nice, new, and clean. The wifi was very good (the best that I have had in Jyvaskyla). I would say that this hotel is definitely the nicest in Jyvaskyla and between the gym and the wifi this will be my goto as a business traveler. Also it is very close to the train station.

Had a great time staying at the Pavilion. The location is great as the hotel is situated between the two main areas of activity: the city center and the port area with both areas within easy walking distance (easily under 5 minutes). This combined with the above average room and excellent customer service ensured we had a lovely stay.

Super lovely staff!
The staff were absolutely fantastic and lovely. We were a little frustrated to learn at check in that we would only be getting a twin room instead of the double room we had requested, and also being told we would have to pay 12 euros for overnight parking. Having expressed our frustration, the staff without our knowledge gave us chocolates and also wavered our parking fees. Was a very nice ending to a fantastically comfortable nights stay. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Wonderful hotel in Jyväskylä
Perfect in every way. Nice and clean room, wonderful service and breakfast served until noon on weekends, so you can really rest and sleep in! And what a breakfast!! Delicious! Absolutely loved the hotel!

A super hotel - so much to offer - Recomended!
The hotel was fantastic. The staff were all lovely, super friendly and so helpful with any requests. They have a complimentary bike hire scheme free of charge when I stayed, they provide you with a crash-helmate and a nice bike to ride about town and the lake which the hotel is situated in front of, its a lovely ride! The location is great, right next to the station, and the lake with lovely walks and views. Jyvaskyla is quite small so you can get everywhere on a bicycle or even walking, its 5 min walk to the pedestrianised centre of town. The hotel is great, well designed with an amazing room set up and very very comfy beds. The 9th floor has amazing sauna facilities with a lovely view of the lake (glass fronted saunas, separate mens and womens) and the best gym Ive used in a hotel in a long time, super well kitted out! great TechnoGym equipment and free weights. Breakfast is great too. Ideal hotel to base yourself in while exploring the area. Oh and even the hotel restaurant was good!!
