"Location and hotel are terrific. Easy walk to downtown, right next to a brand new beach front with lots of kid and adult friendly amenities, and 1 min walk to the port. My only complaint was the staff wasn’t great. Check-in was ok, but the upstairs bar/restaurant staff weren’t kind and very slow."

"We enjoyed our stay at Hotel de l’Ecluse. The property was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent for exploring Neuchâtel, especially the lakefront, the Collegiate Church, and the castle area, all within easy walking distance. A couple of maintenance issues could use attention — the toilet seat in our room was loose and the shower drain cover kept coming off during use. The room was also quite warm at night. "We stayed in the Rhubarb room and lived the complete kitchen with a huge wet bar! Also having a coffee table and comfortable chairs/sofa was nice. Plenty of beds (5) for most families. The check in process was slightly confusing. Read the email carefully. The entry door was tough to find but it is right by the Restaurant du Banneret. The location was perfect, right by the Chateau. This neighborhood is walkable although on a hillside, with lots of cute shops and restaurants. Overall, highly...
