Excellent experience with Tucker Peak Lodge. Staff was responsive and professional. The bed was AMAZING! The sheets were so soft, pillows and duvet were fluffy, and the mattress was soft. Seriously the best hotel bed I can recall! I stayed in Serenity. The check in & checkout process was really easy. It was very quiet and so private that I could open the blinds and enjoy nature right from my room. Great experience!

Beautiful place to stay while visiting Julian. Quiet rooms with beautiful views, lots of amenities. There is no staff at the location but are ready available when called. The hosts are very generous with snacks, teas, coffee, hot chocolate, and fireplace log,.. additional items also available at the shared kitchen at the self check-in office. Didn't give 5 stars for the room because of the tight door and loud bathroom fan. Kids loved their comfy beds but they were squeaky. My kids love this place and didn't want to leave; especially after couple days of playing and cuddling with the cute cats on the premise, they have already begged me to revisit soon.

Should I let the cats in? I found the TV confusing. I like good old network TV. Otherwise the place is beautiful, homey, welcoming, clean, modern and new.

The lodge was a real treat, I especially enjoyed having a fireplace in my room. It was set up and only required a spark to light it. Outside was Great for stargazing after dark. My kids played pool and enjoyed the common common area kitchen.

The property is great. The location was good. The amenities are excellent. The only drawback was that noise can be heard through the walls. I understand it’s probably an older building and that’s why noise is not insulated well. Conversations and water running through the plumbing is easily heard late at night.

Sadly the place needs a lot of maintenance. We got a room with a tub and two queens. This dog friendly place changed our room yo a small one queen at the last minute with only a 10 dollar reduction. Unfortunately, we'll not be back.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. You booked a room with 2 queen beds which is a non pet friendly room. When you showed up, we were forced to move you to a pet friendly room. The only pet friendly room we had available at the time was a room with a single queen to which you agreed to move to. We did give you the option to cancel, or to move to our other property that had rooms with 2 queens. The price we charge is 10 less for the single queen, which we refunded you.

Hi the only reason I docked a star was because my room was not ready and took over 3 hrs to get cleaned. Gigi came out and did a fantastic job. Jamal was good at making it right. This place is beautiful. Bed was comfortable. Loved the fireplace. Jetted tub I wish I had had time to use. Would love to come back with the hubby soon. Thank you. Place is amazing. Parking and driveway a little rough but not a big deal unless there would be too many cars.

The views are spectacular, location is very close and convenient to downtown Julian. The hosts were very accommodating as well. The property is currently having maintenance/improvements. We were very pleased and enjoyed our stay.

Spacious room, great views
Spacious room with beautiful view. Lodge was very nice, parking was a little tight. Signage could be better, it was a little hard to find the main entrance. There was a trailer parked in one of the designated spots in front of the garage, and the garage was open which gave it a messy appearance, like we had pulled up to someone’s house instead of the lodge. The pool table was fun but we were really looking forward to the advertised shuffle board. Just a note that there are no outlets in the extra bedroom so bring a long extension cord and outlet strip. Although the room included shampoo and body wash dispensers the liquid barely comes out so I would bring your own. It’s a great place for some R&R and was well kept.

My only issue with this property was not knowing that they would have loud construction as early as 8am on both mornings I woke up there. It would have been nice to know that I wouldn’t be able to sleep in as I intended as I cannot sleep in at home. This was meant to be a getaway from my hectic mornings and it was not what I expected in that regard. Everything else was nice. The views, cleanliness and surrounding areas were great.

We're so sorry about any inconvenience you encountered while staying with us. We had some roof damage we had to work on, and our roofers had to get the work done before the high winds came in. We did our best to have them start as late as possible. They didn't go on the roof until 10 am, but were there to set up prior to that.

This place met and exceeded all expectations. What a charming little lodge and they made check in super easy. Loved the kitties that live on the property, they were very friendly! The common area was really cool and the views were phenomenal. I wish we were staying for more than one night but we will definitely be back.

Booked the Harmony room for a wedding anniversary getaway, unfortunately the stay was all but harmonious. Contractors were in the midst of roofing the lodge both mornings/day of our stay. We understand we came on a weekday, however, we paid for this trip and set aside time from work, this was a big disappointment. We reached Harley the lodge point person to ask if the roofers can at least wait to begin hammering after checkout to no resolve. We left. The worst stay ever. I do not recommend.

We're sorry to hear we didn't meet your expectations. We had an emergency leak we had to work on the roof, but waited until 10am to start working on it. The roofers wanted to come in at 8am, but we were able to push them to 10 am to inconvenience our guests as little as possible.

We loved our stay at Tucker Peak Lodge! The room was great, and because of recent weather, we were the only guests there. There are several great rooms to choose from, with a shared common area with beautiful views.

This hotel lodge is located in a beautiful and peaceful location, great for meditation, yoga, stargazing, pictures. It’s got a great common kitchen that one can use and many games and a pool table in the living room

The lodge is beautiful and set in beautiful surroundings. I liked the large wooden deck which offers impressive views of the valley and provides a great location for meals. My kids really liked the neighborhood cats. The housekeeper was helpful and attentive. The kitchen is very nice as well; I made a great breakfast for my family in the morning. I would definitely stay here again.

Love this place.
It was extremely quiet outside. The view spectacular... Sat out on the deck a lot and visited with the cute little house kitty's. The room was very comfortable.... Overall just a really fantastic get away place. We will come back...

It was AMAZING. The pictures do not do the lodge justice. Beautiful views, beautiful lodge…everything was SUPER clean. Harley, our host, was so sweet and helpful. We would 100% stay there again.

Amazing place!
