Air conditioning does not work and looks like probably not worked for many years. Decor is VERY tatty and looks like nothing been done for more than 20 years. It was very hot in high 30s during our visit so we had to have windows open but as it is more like a motel than a hotel we did not feel very secure having windows adjacent to public area open. Although they have a bar they ONLY serve alcohol if you buy a meal at same time.

The property was very basic but clean. The most irrating thing was the cleaning staff. On the first day you have the normal do not disturb sign in your day which we placed on the door to not be disturbed in the morning. However, the cleaning staff removed the sign from the door and walked straight into the room without knocking or giving any warning. This was awful. We were staying in a group and it happened to many people on multiple mornings. After the first day the do not disturb sign was never returned to the room. We went out early in the morning (for sports) and then returned for a sleep so wanted to avoid the cleaning staff waking us up. Whilst we were out they removed our towels but then over an hour later returned to the room without knocking or giving warning to clean the room and bring new towels but they woke us up. Awful service, very impolite and could easily be solved by reading the do not disturb sign which saves the hotel time and money and keeps happy guests. Why did they remove the do not disturb sign (across multiple rooms) after the first day? Why do the cleaning staff just walk straight into your room whilst you are sleeping without warning? Often many of the rooms were left open by cleaning staff so security was very lax. These problems could be easily addressed by management if they care about their guests.

Very disappointing.

The hotel air conditioning had broken down and the first two days were particularly warm. The room facilities were very basic though reasonably clean. The buffet breakfast was minimal with warm coffee at best and, on three days, an absence of cold milk. There did not appear to be anyone available to replenish stocks.

Not a great experience

It was not a great experience. Wifi was not working in the room and the girl at the reception was helpless. No hot water in the evening after the arrival of a big group of chinese tourists. The restaurant was closed (so we have been told at the arrival but the restaurant was actually open only for a group of young athletes....). The price was nice and we got what we paid for.

Close to shops and eaters handy for Metz

Bed not fixed to head board so kept moving Toilet needs a good cleaner as should be sparkling white Other wise ok for couple of nights

dirty, rough, but tolerable

My primary reaction is that the room was quite dirty and rough. The hotel was listed as 3 stars. I would give it 2 if I were generous. Having said that, it was cheap and convenient near the freeway. It is an OK place to sleep if that is all you need and your standards are flexible.

Handy for autoroute

The hotel is comfortable and suited our needs as it is close enough to the autoroute. Room was warm (on a bitterly cold day) and comfortable. On arrival, the female receptionist was disinterested, verging on unhelpful, something you don't need after a long drive. It makes such a difference to receive just a smile. However, the cheerfulness of the staff in the restaurant made up for this.

A very convenient stop on the way south from Amsterdam - pleasant staff although the present manager is leaving.this week - we have stayed here 7 times. Quiet and food is consistent.

Over night stopper

Room was clean and tidy though it was only stairs to the third floor. Breakfast had a good choice of continetal breakfast.

Worst hotel in France ever

Have stay in many Campinoles this has to be the worst ever . Food was terrible service worse , call himself a Chef i've seen better in a little chef in Cornwall .

Bonjour, les chambres sont corrects et neuves mais l'architecte qui a pensé les bureaux n'a pas du les essayer pendant plusieurs heures. Une tablette où le pc portable ne tient pas entièrement et surtout un tabouret sans dossier. Mal au dos rapidement et inconfort total. Franchement , c'est dommage pour des chambres de ce prix. Là concurrence à 100m est moins cher (les chambres plus petites mais avec un vrai bureau et une vraie chaise). Autre point négatif, le petit déjeuner. La 1ère fois où je me suis rendu dans l'établissement il a fallut que je demande du miel car il n'avait pas été réapprovisionner. Cette fois , 2éme matin plus d'œuf , j'en demande et on me répond que non, il n'y en pas. 4 mini saucisses qui se battent en duel dans un grand récipient , pas de bacon. Idem à la concurrence, le prix est largement moindre mais on trouver de tout. Je suis désolé mais je ne réserverais plus de chambre dans cet établissement. La différence de prix avec d'autres hôtels n'est pas justifié. Cordialement

Fuyez, hotel en travaux et fermé

Arrivée sur le site, l'hotel était fermé et en travaux. La réponse du service commercial est de ne plus passer par le site hotels.com mais directement sur leur site à eux. Resultat, mes 180 euros de réservtion sont toujours bloqués et j'ai du trouver un autre hotel. Merci Campanile !!!!!!!

Hôtel ancien à rénover

Hôtel dans son jus... qui est à rénover d’urgence. C’est inadmissible pour la salle de bains, les joints de la baignoire sont noirs et les toilettes ne sont pas nettoyées à fond, traînées jaunes... c’est écœurant, propreté à revoir ! Que doivent penser les touristes étrangers dans ce genre d’hôtels. Point positif, la personne à l’accueil était très sympathique.

Pas très propre

Hôtel vieillissant et propreté vraiment moyenne. La salle de bain était pas très propre (moisissures sur le plafond), tâches diverses, distributeur à savon cassé et mal placé. Service et personnel très gentil et accueillant. Prix raisonnable mais propreté et rénovation a revoir sérieusement

Climatisation en panne depuis une dizaine d'années ( confirmation du personnel, j'aurais dû lire les avis c'est clairement écrit déjà depuis 2014 ! Honteux). Pas de grand lit, information que l'on m'a communiquée après mon paiement lors du check-in. A 70 euros la nuit c'est une pure arnaque, fuyez !!

L accueil plus agréable . Par contre la chambre dans un état lamentable . Salle de bain pleine de moisissure,support de pommeau de douche complètement rouillé le port gel douche dégueulasse,cheveux au sol dans la chambre et surtout la salle de bain . Sincèrement pour un hôtel Campanile c est vraiment pas terrible
