Parking is half a mile away in a dirty parking garage filled with needles and no elevator. Not easy to grab breakfast, not even a water. Hotel was dirty.

A band was playing with loud bass music until 11 pm the night my child and I stayed there, 2 floors below us. It was posted 10 pm was quiet hour but clearly not the case. Very bad experience as a result as we were exhausted from poor sleep, despite speaking to the front desk.

The shower grab bar was placed right beside the toilet and no room to exit tub using the bar. This was a little dangerous for me exiting the shower, especially since it is higher off the floor.

Hotel under upgrade construction. Stay clear of room 607, although room is spacious, it sits behind a column next to the elevators and is difficult to find and tight entrance makes maneuvering the luggage cart difficult. Housecleaning never left essentials, shampoo, conditioner, etc. and had to be asked for. Front desk personnel were never in sight and had to ring bell for service. Restaurant and staff are high class and worthily of highest praises.

There were a couple of minor items which could be improved on: night light in the bathroom; fan in the bathroom. The parking lot was under construction and there was a city parking garage across the street which, we were told, we were free to use by an agreement between the city and Holiday Inn. We learned later that there was a fee for use of the parking garage - parking at the Holiday Inn lot, if it were available, would have been free. The restaurant was very good and reasonable priced. Buying breakfast in advance is a really good idea.

Clean hotel, problems with customer service
The hotel is nice. It's clean, and it's really well kept. The rooms smell clean, the staff is nice but made a lot of mistakes that were really upsetting. CHOOSE ECONO LODGE OVER HERE. They gave me a better room when I asked, prices were better, and very accomendating. At the Holiday Inn a LOT went wrong. I arrived and was given keys and told "if they don't work, come down it's been happening a lot".. ok no problem (this has happened everywhere all summer)... THEN I FIND OUT from a CUSTOMER.. I was trying to key into A ROOM SOMEONE WAS STAYING IN! THIS IS SO UNACCEPTABLE, ANYTHING COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ME... 3 trips back and forth to the desk with FOUR heavy bags... and I get into the room,... and it's the wrong one. "We upgraded your stay!" despite ordering TWO beds we got 1 bed, no pull out.... "we're sorry we're all out of those rooms" Well I needed two. They found a way to give us a pull out and king.... someone came up and gave me keys (my request).. THEN... didn't help me carry my 4 bags.. THEN even though "the room was inspected and cleaned"...... the PULL out bed was DIRTY. No sheets either. Another trip to the desk. Made bed myself....my 72 year old father is in so much pain from sleeping in the pull out bed. We CHOSE this hotel because it was nice. This was a treat for my family and I HAVE never been so upset and disappointed with a nice hotel.
