"Really nice front desk staff. The lobby is located on the 2nd floor, not the ground. All mod-cons available and plenty of books to read. The room has a fridge, a TV, a stove, a microwave and is big enough that you can move around. The workspace desk is great, and the round dining table is perfect for 2 to sit comfortably. Would definitely stay again. Great price and located right next door to Newcastle Permanent Head Office. "

"Retro style little motel. Easy check in, as we arrived late at night and the room was set up for us to just walk in and collapse. Clean facilities. Within very short drive of a fab cafe - onyx - where we went for a pretty awesome brekky the next day."

"We arrived mid-evening at the end of a 14 hour drive. The welcome was great, the room large and comfortable, the bar and restaurant better than you might expect."

"Not impressed. Wine glasses had wine stains from previous guests upon arrival. Glitch in system meant we didn’t get the room service we ordered because staff already went home for the night. Parking for valet was not clear at all. No pool or spa facility."
