This is a wonderful, well-run boutique hotel that is very popular. We loved our spacious king room and the restaurant has amazing food, with great staff all round.
I highly recommend it but be aware that there events such as matric dances and weddings take place in the event space which can be noisy if you're staying in the hotel rooms. We did not mind it, and the noise levels died down relatively early but if you like very quiet hotel rooms, or go to bed early, then this might not be the venue for you.
This was a nice outing for us. We loved the staff and the food. Nice rooms and beds. We just suggest for some carpets on the rooms as the tiles very cold...
A beautiful property set in a secluded wooded area. Certainly different having guinea fowl in the foliage. The rooms are stunningly large. My friend who was local to it was in total awe of it. It is highly recommended to stay there.
Kleinkaap is an oasis in the middle of what I perceive is an unsafe area. Some traffic lights do not work, or work partly. They seem not to fix the public infrastructure. Don't think you can get to the airport by the route indicated on the map. A sinkhole might not being repaired for a long time, even years. This is a wonderful country but be very aware.
My husband and I stayed there for one night. I loved that it had lots of trees around it. The vrooms were spacous and the food was amazing. The sound proofing was also great. There was a wedding function on the premises but we were not disturbed at all. i would love to stay there again next time I am in Gauteng.
This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Staff are friendly and courteous. Check in was easy and quick. Rooms very comfortable and airy. Overall a great experience.
This was the second time I've stayed at Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel. Both times for business. My first visit was perfect, the only complaint I had during my last visit was that my hot water was lukewarm. However, I raised this at reception and it was fixed quickly. Breakfast is amazing!!! I can highly recommend this property and will return myself.

Not a 4* boutique hotel
Room was spacious but there was only one chair at the desk to sit on so the other person had to sit on the bed. Our view was the used car dealership next door where there were barking guard dogs. The bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo & lotion) were cheap and not boutique quality.
The location is not good.
We had one dinner at the restaurant. One main dish arrived cold and had to be sent back an the other was over cooked and the venison was tough.
A quaint little hotel with staff that had an awesome attitude... So rare these days... nothing was too much trouble... food was great... room clean and comfortable... if I'm ever in the area I will choose this hotel for sure!
Excellent, quiet and relaxing location. Meals were very good. Even though there were two weddings during my stay I never felt I or they were intruding on one another. I would definitely stay again.

A hill station resort without the hill.
Mostly the whole five day experience was enjoyable and calming. The conference I attended was very well facilitated. Everyone enjoys the spirit of the place.
Lovely boutique hotel with the only complaint around the level of noise coming from reception while trying to sleep both in the evening and then again early morning. The sound travels up the stairs and if you are among the first rooms it is annoying. Despite this, I would love to return again as the grounds are just super, plenty of bird life and lots of character. Breakfast was delicious too and I would most certainly recommend the hotel to friends and family.
Overall Kleinkaap offers a good standard of accommodation though they could improve their wifi service and guest service.
The beds were extremely comfortable and good sleep was possible. The room I was given was well prepared for my arrival but did not have wifi connectivity. I asked to be moved to another room and was very kindly accommodated. However the new room did not have towels and was not serviced the next day leading me to conclude that it had not been registered that I had changed rooms.
This was a relatively minor inconvenience but for the price charged per night, should not have happened. The staff, whilst courteous, should have been more vigilant.
Otherwise the breakfasts were excellent. If good wifi is not at the top of your list of needs from a hotel, Kleinkaap should otherwise fit most other requirements for a highly enjoyable stay.
Awesome experience and excellent customer service!
The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The location is close to major shopping and restaurants (a short 5-10 min drive). The restaurant is well appointed with lots of antique furniture. It was very comfortable and the ambiance was very nice. I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection! The chef also came out to meet me and wanted to make sure all of the food was to my liking. Over-the-top customer service! I'm an avid bow hunter and always bring my bow with me when I travel to Africa just in case I can work in a hunting excursion. When I was bringing my luggage into the hotel, the owner of the property (Mr. Milan) saw my bags and said... hey, that's a bow case! Being a hunter himself he asked me where I was planning to hunt. I explained that I didn't have anything setup so he offered to help me coordinate a 1-2 day hunt over the weekend. One of his managers worked diligently to get me booked with a nearby outfitter. As a result, I had a successful hunt - a nice 23" Impala. A great hunt as well as a memorable hotel experience! Oh yeah, one more nicety... they have a beautiful room they call the “piano room” which has plush, comfortable leather sofas and a wood burning fireplace. I ended just about every evening with a glass of chardonnay in the piano room. The staff ALWAYS made sure to stop by every so often to assure the fire was crackling. Thank you for an awesome stay... I'll be back for sure!
The hotel is really nice and moreover a great value. One thing: if you are not with your own car, be prepared to plan in advance for all of your travel, though the Kleinkaap will arrange this for you.
