Essence of South Africa

The room is Beautiful! Comfy bed, quiet area, nice shower n pool! Very Happy n friendly staff! Great food n breakfast is included! Even a fireplace to warm up around for chilly evenings! Great price n close to airport. The free shuttle service to n from the airport makes your journey hassle free! The driver is awesome, happy n courteous! I Loved my stay here n will be back again! I recommend others to experience this great hotel experience in Johannesburg too!!!

Good base for exploring the Johannesburg area

The hotel is in a gated community so pretty safe, but Google may have difficulty getting you there; we recommend to follow the signs next to the road. Staff (Terence) was warm, friendly and helpful. Rooms and breakfast are rather basic and the approaching airplanes are flying pretty low over the hotel. It was a great value for us, since we were out most of the day exploring.

Good value stopover close to airport

Room was comfortable though there is no safe provided. Located in a secured estate, a short taxi ride to the mall on Freid street with shops and restaurants. The staff tried to be helpful but more local knowledge would have been useful. Good value for a stopover with free shuttle service to the airport.
