The AC in the room wasn't working properly and I had a very very uncomfortable nights sleep before I was to fly long haul and straight to work. I spent the night in a cycle of resetting the controls, trying to sleep expecting it to work (as one should), only for it to stop again. When I reported this to the night staff i was berated for not reporting it early (I'm sorry i had not expected it to be stop starting and my priority was rest. So his poor attitude letting me know all his challenges (e.g. work) outweighed the customer experience I should expect and paid for would have been funny if I was not so exhausted.
The used towels were refolded, the bathroom shower was not cleaned, the bed sheets were not replaced after a dining spill, and complimentary water was not restocked. On the first day i left the hotel late so missed a 'room clean/tidy' but I would have expected housekeeping from a hotel in the Marriott range, to try and clean when i was out.
All in all very underwhelming and utterly disappointing overall. I should have stayed in Manhattan.
