Good location for rail station
Overall a good option close to the station although can be some street noise early in the morning from the local temple. When we raised the issue of the noise the hotel were very accommodating and provide us with a room on the opposite side of the building which was much quieter. Despite its location close to the station, the local taxi / autorickshaw drivers did have some trouble finding it.

Washroom was really bad , water flow was to the wrong side, moreover it has slippery tiles.My father slipped in the washroom. Bed sheets are blankets were not cleaned enough. Lot of scope of improvements !!

The check-in process was not smooth. I had the printout of the Expedia booking and it was as if the staff were surprised to see us when we showed up. They said you only booked 1 room even though the booking clearly showed 2 rooms. They also claimed we only paid 20% even though we fully paid for the booking.
They asked for an Aadhaar card even though we arent Indian citizens.
There was no complimentary bottled water when we checked in. They gave us 2 bottles and charged us when we checked out.
The hotel is extremely cold. We had to ask for 2 heaters.
There is no hot water in the hotel. We needed to request it every morning.
The wifi login credentials change every 24 hours and we need to get new ones daily.
The breakfast is usually late and tastes ok. There was eggs, oatmeal, indian food. Sometimes the tea tasted re-heated, probably from the banquet hall next door.
Their banquet hall is next door and extremely loud. In the middle of the night they start playing drums and firecrackers.
All of us became ill and we requested the on-call doctor at 6:30am but he didnt show up until 9:30am.
Would not stay here again.

Staff were very helpful.
All wanted tips ..every time you asked for any help...generally all good.. All adds to your hotel bill when checking out.
Will visit again in the near future and recommend to friends.

It was just a nights stay at the hotel on the way to Katra. room was large and well equipped. We were provided morning tea stuff as were to leave early morning.

Excellent hospitality.
This is my second stay in 5 years at Hotel Maharaja Residency. Excellent, friendly staff with very polite attitude. Food is highly recommended and would stay here again in the near future.
