I’ve stayed at Seaside Amelia Inn multiple times over the years and have always loved the location and the charm of this quaint boutique hotel. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have not lived up to the past.
On this visit, I booked a room that was supposed to include a pullout sofa bed, but it turned out to be just a small futon barely suitable for a toddler. I ended up having to spend over $100 on an air mattress and bedding for my daughter.
When I brought this to the manager’s attention, they assured me they would “make it right,” but no one ever followed up or even called me back.
It’s disappointing to see the service and attention to guests slipping at a place I used to look forward to staying. I hope they can return to the quality and hospitality that made me a repeat guest for so many years.
