"A traditional no frills farmhouse B&B set in tranquil countryside surrounds with southerly views. Not too from the lovely town of Tavistock. I was greeted by friendly courteous staff and given a very spacious room for the price and a tasty cooked breakfast to boot. Excellent value for money. I really enjoyed the overnight stay and would definitely recommend to others."

"One of the best places - the subtle details and the very thoughtful touches created an incredible sense of delight. The hosts thought of everything, literally everything (thank you for the champagne glasses!). The attention to details was amazing. A fantastic Bed and Breakfast, very clean, and the breakfasts were incredible. Julie-Anne and Charlie, thank you so much!"

"No air conditioning. Leaky shower and toilet noises. Rattling doors and windows. Front desk doesn't answer phone calls ringing for more than 10 minutes. No porter for luggage transport. Bar burgers and salads were awful. Have to ask for salt and pepper shakers in Palm Court lounge. Chair upholstery peeling and cobwebs on the windows."
"Great welcome - very friendly gentleman at reception allowed us to check in an hour is so early, which was very helpful as we had my elderly mother with us.
Very clean rooms, great to have a mini fridge with the heatwave at the time, great shower.
Breakfast was excellent, plenty of variety, well cooked food and nice atmosphere. Juice from a machine, but this was ok.
Top tips:
1) Be aware the entrance for when you first arrive is not the one opposite the harbour (you can’t use that one until you have checked in and have a key card),
The main entrance is at the rear on a small hill and although there are double yellow lines outside it is a quiet street and so, as we did, you could easily drop people and luggage off before going to park.
There is a large car park just up the hill (then either a short slope to walk down over the car entrance side or a LOT of steps down from the other side).
If not dropped off first, I suggest those with mobility issues avoid the steps side and with a little care for traffic, use the slope entrance side to walk down to the hotel after parking instead (it’s much closer to the hotel entrance from that side than the bottom of the steps).
2) The car parks in Torquay all use the RINGO app (although some take cash too)."
"Smooth and quick check in and out process. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall stay was enjoyable. Thank you"
"Booked a Signature room overlooking the golf course for a 3 night stay. On the first night it was abundantly clear the rooms air conditioning wasn’t working. Informed reception the following morning and advised maintenance would be notified. Despite 2 further visits to reception no repairs completed but an electric fan left in the room. Which isn’t ideal to have whirring away throughout the night. So very little sleep had. "

"We only stayed for one night but enjoyed it, reception were fast and efficient and helped us with an issue very quickly. Bar is small but got what you need and the restaurant was perfect for something quick like we wanted.
Used the pool and gym while we were there and while the equipment was maybe a little dated it all worked fine. Worth remembering though it is available for public or members so can get busy at peak times. Would definitely stay again."
"Absolutely beautiful property and setting. Everything was new and clean. The room was quiet, had everything we needed and so conveniently located. The front desk staff was very welcoming, polite and helpful. I can highly recommend this property!!"
