We had some problems with our initial check in and the state of the room when we arrived, which was really frustrating. However, what made it a great stay in the end was the manager, Abdul, who really went out of his way to make it a good experience when he was on shift the next day. He also recommended us some great restaurants in the area that aren’t just tourist traps!

Homely athmosphere and best experienced
feel like at home, the owner very friendly, kind and helpful. As we just cameback from Umroh, he upgraded our room to the suites room. Spot on location, walk distance to many famous place in Istanbul. Will comeback again and recomended to others.

It was a wonderful experience of staying at Dilhayat kalfa. I felt like home and the staff were really nice and especially the manager Mr Abdul Rahim was very friendly and really good at hospitality so we had really enjoyed our stay here . I will definitely recommend this hotel to stay and want to come back again.

The service was absolutely top notch; I really enjoyed chatting with the manager who was always helpful and willing to do whatever he needed to for the customers. The location is absolutely ideal for a visit to the old city. The area has tons of shops, restaurants, and all of the major sites within a few minutes walk.

We were pleasantly greeted by Abdul, our host, who set us up in a room, though we arrived before their check-in time. He further moved our luggage to another room the following day. He was most helpful is directing us to eateries, arranging for reservations to a Turkish bathhouse, and taxis to various locations. The location was great and rooms were very clean as well as having necessary amenities. Breakfast was very good with a rooftop view of the Marmar sea. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely rooftop and location
Awesome location for the tourist sites in Sultanahmet (ie Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, and more) - easy walking distance. Also not far from the tram. The rooftop terrace is stunning and makes breakfast really lovely, or any other time of day if you choose. Abdul at the front desk really makes the experience - super friendly, exceedingly helpful. THANKS Abdul! Cons - my room didn’t have a fridge (it was broken and removed before my arrival), there's no in-room safe as indicated on Hotels.com and airport transfer is also super out of date. The rooms are dated and the standard room in particular was pretty meh. Perhaps others are nicer. Overall good stay.

Our stay at the Dilhayat Kalfa Hotel was very comfortable. The proprietors were very accommodating and made us feel at home. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We only stayed one night both at the beginning and the ending of our tour of western Turkey. We would love to return and spend more time in Istanbul. The hotel is in a prime location, within walking distance to main attractions in Istanbul.

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location was great, quiet street, wonderful view from rooftop terrace where breakfast was served daily, 10 minute walk to major attractions, bazaars, restaurants, ATMs, etc. The only downside would be if you have mobility issues and cannot negotiate stairs.

The best in hotel is Service. AbdulRahim is a wonderful help. He went far and beyond making our trip a great experience. We enjoyed our stay here. Hotel is quiet and clean. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and prepared fresh every day. The terrace has a wonderful view. Highly recommend

Fantastic hotel
Motorcycling from Oxford to Istanbul. What a great location, in the old part of Istanbul, very close to all the attractions. The guy on reception was so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble..he found a great place to park my motorcycle, I can't praise him enough. The hotel was lovely and clean,great room,fantastic breakfast 10 out 10 from me

This is a Lovely Hotel in the Sultan Ahmet area of Istanbul. Close to local amenities. Hotel Staff are incredibly hospitable and I would most definately recommend this hotel to couples looking for a quiet time away.

We stayed one night at this hotel. Location is perfect. Staff are very good. Hotel Manager Abdul is very helpful. He suggested us how we could visit by Tram to Dolmabache palace, Galata tower and Taksim square. Breakfast is good.

This was my 1st time in Istanbul and I was traveling solo. Dilhayat Kalfa hotel and Abdulrahim made this the perfect place for me. The room was comfortable with plenty of storage. It is a walkup, which wasn't an issue for me, but should be noted for those with limited ability. I didn't have any kind of a view, but I wasn't in the room enough to care. The bathroom was a good size and the shower worked well. Breakfast was delicious and the views from the terrace are wonderful - more than making up for the lack of view from my room. My only regret was not having enough time to relax and really enjoy some time up there. The location is perfect for exploring old town and close to the tram, so also easy access to see any part of the city. Abdulrahim took care of everything efficiently and graciously. I feel like I have a new friend and will undoubtedly stay when I return to Istanbul. Thanks for everything! Istanbul is a wonderful city! Can't wait to see you all again!

- It is walking distance (max 10 mins) to all the historic places (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Serefiye Cistern) - The terrace has an amazing view and you can enjoy it any time with complimentary coffee and tea! -The staff is very friendly! - I don't suggest using your car to get there unless you are used to driving in narrow streets and crazy Istanbul traffic.

I stayed for about 6 days and had a wonderful time. The service was amazing and the hotel was in a safe, quiet area but within walking distance to the main attactions. Abdul Rahim was very helpful and helped set up the shuttle to and from the airport, as well as the PCR test for my return trip. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my many questions with good humor and patience. It's a small operation so you see the same people every day and they are all friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was healthy and delicious. The view from the terrace was beautiful. It will definitely be my first choice when I return to Istanbul.

We were at Istanbul for a long layover The hotel was excellent in all aspects like location, room was wonderful with nice decorations. Breakfast at the beautiful terrace was an experience. Abdur Rahim is the best hotel employee I’ve ever seen. So kind, humble, and amazing at what he does! Helped us with airport shuttle, getting a room even before a long time ahead of hotels check in time, breakfast, sight seeing ideas, PCR testing Would book this hotel in the future in a heartbeat for sure
