Awful hotel - useless staff
Lots of problems - supposedly a superior room - toilet flush broken, toilet door handle broken, bathroom had very strong smell of urine. A/C centrally operated so had to phone reception every time one needed to turn it off or on - however this wasn’t mentioned at check in - lots of staff but all useless and appear ro do nothing. Very noisy street - club music until 4am so if you absolutely must stay there ask for a room at back of hotel.

I really liked the staff's interaction with us, it was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the cleaning staff came after 2 days and took care of the room. The breakfast was very delicious with various types of food and a lot of quantities enough for all the guests.

Great Hotel in a great location.
We stayed here on coming into Istanbul and leaving Istanbul. The room was comfortable, clean. The front desk staff were very cheerful, professional, help full. The location was great - very near to Sishane train station. Short walk to buses, tram, Taksim square, Indian vegetarian restaurant, Vegan Felafel Restaurant. Closer to bars. We enjoyed our stay will come back and stay here. One thing be aware - Fri,Sat & Sundays are party days. The loud music goes on whole night around the hotel. Not the Hotel's fault. If possible skip those days or bring ear plugs.

the location of this hotel is amazing!!! close to istiklal street; the staff are very helpful; rooms are clean ; the lobby in small;i only had one issue : there was a customer in one room playing with playstation allllll night; i couldnt sleep from the game noise;and his screaming

1sr experience in Istanbul.
1. A beautiful hotel in the heart of Byuglu. Accessible to pedestrian and difficult to motorists because the roads are narrow and cars park all over the road, on the sidewalks, in the middle of the road. This is the mess. 2. The staff is very nice and helpful. The person who welcomed us on arrival was super nice and helpful. I thank him very much for the effort that has made to repair the internet connection via WiFi issue. 3. The room is cute with a nice rustic style, cleaned every morning. However the bathroom is out of the way. Mold on the ceiling, no separation between the shower are and sink area. I am not proud of that. Overall, we had a great time. Apart from the lack of sanitation.

Acceptable place for a short and affordable stay.
- The reception guy was nice and could speak English fluently. - The room was OK, a little bit small but that's not a problem for me. - The Bathroom was fine, not perfect though .. - The place is not totally quiet, you may hear some noises​ coming from the hall, the street or the other rooms. - The Mini-bar was missing some items (comparing to the attached menu).

Nice clean tidy hotel with excellent staff
I had a week in this hotel recently,,, the room was excellent and as described in the booking photo,,, the staff very friendly and speak English very good, very close from Istiklal steet ,, many restaurants and shops arround. The only negative point is the noise in Friday night and Saturday night!!! There is a music party in the same street , the noise until 5 am , a part from that every thing was excellent .

Great place, but...
This was my second time staying here, and I returned because the place has so much going for it. The location, a couple short blocks from Tunel and Istiklal Cad. in Beyoglu, couldn't be better, it's on a quieter alley in a nightlife area. Last time I was upgraded to a suite ion the back of the hotel (away from the street noise commented on by others, but this time I was in a regular room on the front side of the hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and that there were no noise issues at night when the windows were closed. On the day of my arrival I got there before 8am after an overnight train trip and yet they gave me my room immediately, so I was able to get into the room, have some breakfast and get some sleep before I thought I'd even have the room. The breakfasts were probably as good as any I had during my 7-week trip in eastern Europe, so no issue there. The only problem, and it was a big one for me, was the very poor wifi, and I was able to get connected only occasionally and rarely at any decent speed; I ended up calling the front desk daily to get them to reboot the router so I could hook up. Then on the last day, after having no internet for something like 15 hours the person at the front desk started giving me grief about it, saying the problem was mine and not theirs, and didn't do anything. At that point I took my laptop out in the hall and found that there was better reception away from my room, so they clearly have an inadequate setup.

Tourist in Istambul
Hotel was great, service excellent,breakfast excellent, very clean. Only problem was very very noisy as they have disco music in the different bars until 4 in the morning. I was also under the understanding it was very close to taxim square, but it takes 20 minute walks to get there.

Amazing. Especially for Soho House members.
The staff were incredibly accomodating. The room was so eloquent. For the price this is an incredible hotel. I will absolutely be staying here. If you're a Soho House member. Book this hotel for the price and walk just 4 minutes to soho house istanbul.

The hotel itself is fine, but there is a night club right below and music blasting (both weekdays and weekends) until 4 in the morning. If you're a sensitive sleeper, this hotel is not for you.

Enjoyed my time at Murat.
Stayed here after a tour of Turkey. It is in a central area and walking distance to Galata Tower, many shops, cafes, Tak Sim square, metro. The staff are very nice and spoke English. It is from the old regal days with chandeliers hanging about, gold details on doors and walls and faux painting on the ceilings. I felt safe walking about.

Excellent Location and great rooms
My mum and I were staying here for transiting to go back home the next day. The hotel is in excellent location with metro station close by as well as few attractions. It was a pity that i wasn't able to spend more time to explore the surrounding attractions. The room is clean and spacious, love the antique /grand style of the room. However, one thing was that we stayed at level 1, it could get a bit noisy at night as there are some bars/ pubs across the road. The staff are very well-trained and very helpful in helping me to make phone calls, and to order a taxi for us to head to the airport. Would come back and stay here if i could back to Istanbul

The Very Best of Istanbul
First the technical end: The location was perfect, the hotel well staffed and the rooms new, roomy and spotless. We had been traveling in Eastern Europe for two months, and this was our final destination. We booked it site unseen and could not have been happier, really! We cannot thank you enough for your wonderful hotel and staff. From the smiles at the breakfast, to the hard work of housekeeping, to the friendly front desk staff, all of it was perfect. Of particular mention is Mesut, who upon our arrival was an employee, and upon our departure, a friend. His warm and welcoming Turkish hospitality is indeed an asset to your operation. His easy smile and wealth of information on the neighborhood, Istanbul, and Turkey was a wonderful addition to our stay. We stayed two weeks and will definately return to our Istanbul "home" your hotel!

Excellent boutique hotel in a great location

Hotel konomu itibari ile eğlence mekanlarının bulunduğu yerlere yakınlığı nedenli çok gürültülü birde odanız 5. Katta ise gürültü daha da artmakta. Çünlü teras katta bar bulunmakta ve buranın gürültüsüde sabah 4ü bulmakta. Bu arada odanın fotoğrafları sizi yanıltmasın odalar fotoğraflara göre biraz daha vasat. Oda temizliği orta düzeyde. Ayrıca banyoda tuvalet rezervuarına basma tuşu arızalı ve tamir edilmemişti . Konaklamamdaki tek yüz güldüren şeyi resepsiyondaki bayan güleryüzlü ve ilgili.

Nice hotel, but not weekends maybe
Nice hotel with cleans rooms and of high standard. Breakfast ok. Location excellent. İstiklal street, Tünel and Şişhane metro less than a 5 min walk away. The only bad thing about the hotel, was the noise from the bars around hotel on Friday night. We didn't get any sleep until 5am when they closed. Love to stay here again but not on a weekend

Service was poor. The bed was not really comfortable. The double bed was made by combining two single beds with some kind of puffy bed covers on. Breakfast was also poor. The only good thing about the hotel is its location. I'd definitely not go for it again. I was misled by comments while choosing it.

Otel konum olarak çok hareketli ve gürültü bir noktada olduğu için gece uyuyabilmek pek mümkün değil, zira hemen yanında barlar var ve eğlence sokakta yapılıyor, bölgeyi bilmeyenler için gece uyumak niyetindeyseler kötü bir sürpriz. Fakat zaten gece eğlencesi için tercih ediliyorsa bu tür mekanlara yakınlığı artı bir özellik.
