"We had a nice, large bedroom and the bed was comfortable, however, the bathroom was smaller than a cruise ship! My husband is 6’5” and his head hit the shower ceiling. We almost had to sit sideways on the toilet because the towel warmer was so close. There were no towel bars to dry your towels, yet they want you to conserve water and use it again (which is not a problem when my towel is dry!). The hotel felt “dated”. "Was ok. Peaceful location but huge gravel car park directly in front of ground floor rooms was noisy in morning and evening.
Stale smell inside the hotel in general. Staff were overly “formal / professional” - felt almost awkward at times and didnt feel friendly. Hot breakfast for £25 not good value, continental breakfast at £17 also not good value (yoghurt, granola, canned fruit and watermelon).
Good bedding, comfortable beds, but at this price I would not return."
"Staff was kind and friendly. Our room was not clean, the sheets were stained and it was a very dark, dingy room with a view of a parking alley and no water. There was absolutely no parking. Rather than telling us they offered valet they had us drive around looking for parking (there is none that’s not max 2hrs that we could find).
