Island in the Sky District

I've seen a lot of photos of Mesa Arch. What you don't see are the days when a bus load of 40 photographers unload from a huge tour bus and take up all the spots for a good picture, all lined up with a wall of tripods. Then some days you get very lucky!

Right after the Sunrise at Mesa Arch, we headed back to Shafer Overlook to get this shot.

Because of the way the sun lights up the canyon as it retreats, this is one of my favorite places to end a day of #adventure .

Canyonlands National Park has held a huge piece of my heart since the very first day I set eyes on it... It rivals the Grand Canyon with it's expansive views that go on for days!

This past September Daniel, my photographer proposed to me on an overlook in Canyonlands, not unlike this one. 😍

I think Canyonlands will always have a huge piece of my heart. From the first time I set eyes on this place it took my breath away!

The views here rival that of the Grand Canyon without the craziness for the crowds. It's definitely one of my favorite National Parks in the USA, and makes for some epic landscape photography,
