I thought it might not be our kind of place - and I also didn't realise the Corcovado day trip boats could pick you up from there - but I chose to spend a couple of nights there so that we'd be half-way along the Drake Bay Trail. "The hotel was better than expected. We had a nice room with a terrace (view over the ocean) and a balcony (view to the jungle). The room was large and had two king-size beds which was great for our family of four. The AC was silent and effective. The restaurant was good and during the breakfast (you need to order the night before) you have the view yourself. They helped us with the luggage transport from the beach to the hotel and return. "Would highly recommend! Beautiful grounds, unique and comfortable villas, amazing breakfast baskets and the best cocktails we had in CR. Its owner operated with a personal touch. Location is good too - tucked away and quiet but just a quick drive to restaurants and shops. "

"We really enjoyed our stay here! We were up in one of the rooms on the hill which had amazing views of the bay as well as great opportunities for birdwatching. The room itself was super clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great proximity to the nature trail as well! We would stay again for sure."

"The Drake Bay Getaway was an unexpected delight! Views from the room were exquisite, as each villa is perched on a hillside with an ocean view. The manager was extremely helpful and spent time explaining about the surrounding area and animal life. We felt as if we were staying with family! Meals were beautifully prepared, offering a sampling of the local food. The location was great too, allowing for quiet relaxation, yet still convenient for activities."
