We needed a room for the night after a reservation at another hotel couldn't be found. Easy to book online. Room was a bit bigger than average for two queen beds. The beds were nice and everything was clean and neat. There was oatmeal, yogurt and egg sandwich's available for breakfast. For some reason my son could not get the pancake machine to work. Staff was friendly and courteous.

The lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly, but overall it wasn’t a pleasant stay. The bed was uncomfortable, the room had a strange smell, and the bedding and towels looked old and worn.

Sorry I didn’t get the desk clerks name, but she was great! I am unable to climb stairs. We were assigned a second floor room and she was able to rearrange so we had a first floor room. I look forward to staying at the Mountain Host again.

A very restful place

After 15 hour drive we had a very restful night. The room was clean and comfortable. The only negative comment is a maintenance issue. The bathroom fan needs to be replaced. It was very noisy and was controlled with the light switch. So if you needed the bathroom light on, you had to hear the noisy fan as well. We would definitely stay here again though.

Cute building, old, tired and in need or a make over. We had to change rooms due to a broken a/c. Upon check in we waited about 15 minutes for the only visible staff member to help us. She was doing check in and answering the phone . The side doors are manually locked at10 pm. So anyone can just walk in and wander around, one of the safety issues I am concerned about. The fiberglass tub unit is very slippery and the grab bar is incorrectly installed on the end of the tub next to the toilet. This made it very uncomfortable to use. The hot water carafe was damaged and made it difficult to safely have a morning cup of tea! The location was nice and I feel that the ownership of the property has neglected it for a number of years.

Stayed for 3 nights, toilet ran every 4.5 min.24hrs a day! Beds were hard as rock, pillows not much better. Place was clean, nice wood floors, good coffee at breakfast. Towels in room were rough and no place to hang them at all! Enjoyed the free continental breakfast, and loved the microwave and fridge in the room! If the beds and pillows were more comfortable, it would have been a much more pleasant stay. I had a very rough time sleeping
