"It is an old hotel with lots of charm (on the outside). The lobby falls a little flat and could use a little more character and tbh... it smelled unpleasant! The room was very nice and looked as expected as shown in the photos. The king bed was very nice and comfortable, however the pillows were not - they went flat as soon as you laid your head on them. I think an addition of a desk would go a long way. The walls are thin so I heard our very loud neighbors talking on the phone 11pm at night....

"The front desk had a person but I had to check in thru a kiosk with a serpate employee that I couldn’t understand. Then the AC worked for a few hours then stopped working. Room was 80 degrees the whole night. The Breakfest staff was extremely nice and accommodating"

"If you’re hesitant to book at the lodge, don’t be. It is cozy, clean, and homey. My son and I stayed one night and were impressed by both the hospitality of the staff as well as the comfort and cleanliness of the room. We will absolutely stay at Marin Lodge when we’re in the area again!"

"The accommodations covered all the essentials, providing a tidy room equipped with every required amenity. A delightful highlight was the bunk bed, which the children absolutely enjoyed. Furthermore, the setting was truly spectacular, nestled among magnificent redwood trees and natural beauty. I will go there again."

"Nice hotel. We have 2 complaints: 1. There was no non-dairy milk for breakfast. 2. No elevator. We chose a 2nd floor room and the front desk did not let us know about no elevator until I asked after we were about to go to room. The clerk should have anticipated that two 80+ seniors would not want to lug suitcases up steps."

"No towels. No soap. No shampoo. Nothing. Had to go down to office several times to ask the very friendly and helpful staff member for items. Bathroom was very dirty. Brown stuff all over the walls, that comes right off with a damp towel. Hair all over the beds. Shower was completely filled with dirt and sand. Also, only a tiny fraction of toilet paper in the bathroom upon arrival. Had to ask staff for that as well. For what I paid, it was more money than it’s worth. Very saddened that I had to...

"There was no trash can in the room. The bathroom reeked of bleach. The lot was full of clutter from people that had lived in the motel and moved out."
