The rooms were decent and clean but old. Showers did not work properly, towels were worn out however the property needed attention in a lot of areas. TV did not work (was able to change my room on the 2nd night). Hot tub was dirty and same temperature as the pool. Doors in many areas would not shut properly, literally had to force the entry door shut. I was here for the Indy 500 and will look elsewhere for the Brickyard and Indy next year.

The property smelled terrible everywhere. Our room smelled like they kept a 100 gerbils in it for years before they decided to rent it. There was black stuff falling from the ceiling.tge room faced the pool with absolutely no sound insulation. We're there for the Indy 500. Next year we definitely won't stay here. Recommend if you're considering this hotel pick something else. Bad bad.bad

Our first room was so dirty we had to request a room change. Our room was next to a garbage area that was piled high with a rat trap just outside the door. We had to move the rent trap to enter the building. The second room was slightly better until we found cockroaches on the hair dryer hangin from the wall the next morning. Room also had a faint smell of stale cigarettes. The room was nonsmoking, but it seems as though it used to be a smoking room.

The room wasn't clean. The hot tub was full of grime, black hair and dirt. An in room hot tub was the whole reason we stayed here so very disappointing. The room in general was dirty. The shower head and sink were falling apart and completely calcified. It was bad enough that we didn't even shower there. It felt like a property ran by a slum lord. Sad since the lake was nice and it was a quiet area.

This hotel was fine. We were informed at check in that the pool and bar were closed for a private event. The event ended being a very 'niche' swingers party with rules posted in all the public spaces. Made for a very strange environment. Hotel was basic but clean enough for a quick, one night stay.

Reserved a king bed with jacuzzi tub weeks prior and got put into a 2 queen bed room because they booked for a private event, was never made aware until I walked into my room and saw for myself. However, we informed after arrival that the pool would be closed the first 3 days of our stay but opened on the last, then found out that pool hours are from 3 pm- 10pm , so didn’t get to swim at all. Bummer. It was the selling point of this hotel. The breakfast consisted of 3 different cereals , cranberry and orange juice, and milk. The cranberry juice was so watered down that it looked like pink water. The first room we were put in, had a broken tv , lamp , and shower drain so we were moved. Had towels upon arrival but NONE for the rest of our stay , the people in the lobby told me they didn’t have any available at all every time I’d ask. Had to get new key cards everytime we returned to the hotel because they would not work on our room door. Geese poop heavily outside every entrance and in side the doors. The lobby looks nice and remodeled , but the rest of the hotel was a HUGE let down. Couldn’t lock the room windows either which was sketchy. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

It was old speedway hotel with car front that it!! Refused to give me a receipt for stay said I could only get from you guys. They charged me a deposit but wouldn’t give me a receipt for anything. There was a cup of cigarette ashes spilled on floor, food still in refrigerator. The side doors did not lock for safety. The pool and hot tub had dirt slime all around the top of the pool. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN

There was an issue with check in and my daughter was charged an incorrect rate. When this was brought to the front desk check in person’s attention, he became rude, declaring he couldn’t fix it, raised his voice, actually yelled at us, and refused to do anything to assist with this. This was one of the WORST EXPERIENCES I’ve ever had. This man is in the business of customer service and he was completely out of line. We stay in roughly 15 to 20 hotels a year and we will NEVER stay here again. The rooms are out dated with rust in the sink, mold in the showers, drywall all over the bed in my daughters room, dirty stained sheets in another daughters room and two towels in our rooms with 4 adults. We booked 5 rooms at this place and between the complete lack of customer service and the condition of the rooms, it was a HUGE disappointment in our trip! Never again Travel lodge. Also, when I booked these rooms it was under a Ramada logo which are usually decent rooms but apparently when travel lodge took over three weeks ago, everything went down hill!

Lots of parking, area is quiet and private. Seems a bit dated but is clean and safe. The rooms have marble/hard floors which I wasn't expecting but were clean. There weren't comforters on the beds, but we didn't ask if there were any available and the temperature was comfortable. Seems like new managment has taken over but not made many improvements, the restaurant/bar was staffed with one front of house employee who was running ragged and dealing with lack of supplies and having technical issues. She was wonderful but was having to manage a lot to get us our food. Price for stay and location were decent, so wouldn't mind staying again.

We stayed here one night before the eclipse, so we certainly paid a premium price. Check in was quick and easy. We got to our room and it must have somewhat recently been a smoking room. There were two thin bath towels for 3 people on a reservation. Tried to call for more. Phone didn’t work. No towels at pool. We booked a ‘lake view’ room and looked at the courtyard maybe? Towels and sheets had stains. Pool area was clean and my son enjoyed swimming. The tables were rusted and I’d be concerned with younger children. Posted signs had pool hours of 3pm-10pm, which was fine for us, but good to note if you think you’re hanging out at the pool during the day

Outdated I expect for a 2-star hotel, but it was gross. There was a mouse trap in the room. The walls, fixtures, everything was dirty. We reserved for my spouse and I and three children. There were only 2 towels & 4 pillows in the room. I asked for another pillow and it had makeup on it (not stains, it just wasn't clean - gross). The mattresses were so thin we all had back pain and couldn't sleep. The shower sprayed everywhere, the hairdryer didn't work. There were no towels at the pool. The breakfast was a joke - I can't even describe, just don't. The pool is large and clean, but that's it. Had it been possible for us to go somewhere else that night we would have cut our losses and left, but it was the room or sleep in the van. It was a tough decision.

The staff is very friendly and professional. The facility is very worn and is in desperate need of updating and renovation to entire building. The pool area wa clean and the pool enjoyable for our Grandchildren ages 8 and 10. Even though the staff was friendly and provided good customer service I would not stay here again until a total renovation and update was completed.

Would've been ok but was supposed to be a 3 star hotel and definitely felt like a 2 star experience and some things like windows were broken. Poorly patched holes in hallways. Phone didn't work at all. For 4 people in the room they had 4 pillows and 2 towels and when we asked for change for the vending machine that only accepted 1 dollar bills they just said no. No explanation no nothing even though we said it was for their vending machine.

Everything in the room dirty and drywall was still on the floor from repair work done. They obviously don’t check rooms before check in begin!! Everyone at front desk no matter what shift are rude and seem so annoyed that your there even though we are their job security!!

I came at a time when they were renovating so i know it will not be perfect just so that is out there ...The fitness room looks like a storage room and was locked with no access the sauna was locked no access the pool and hot tub was a no swim zone until 3(the pool is why i was here)so no morning swim .The breakfast is just cereal but that was finehalf the ice machines were out do to construction...I however loved my stay the staff were ok but it was quiet and nobody bothered me for my sons bday ..THEY DEFINITELY NEED A SIGN THERE IS NONE THAT SAY HOTEL TILL U R U0 TO THE BUILDING

Don’t stay here
The room was filthy it looked nothing like the pictures. We had to buy sheets and towels because we were not comfortable with using the dingy stained towels and sheets. Bathroom was filthy and when we asked for it to be cleaned they said it was clean already. I had to ask for cleaning supplies and clean the bathroom myself.

The name of the hotel is different, so I believe they are under new owners so I won’t be as harsh they were making renovations to the building. My bathroom was not clean. There was hair in the sink and the employees did not come to clean it. they were going to try to change my room, but I just checked out the next day instead of saying my two days

It's not even called the Ramada... It has a bar & grill attached that's never open. Dirty and Trashy around inside the hotel. Outside garbage cans running over. The breakfast was boiled eggs and toast, cereal and coffee. We couldnt get an extra blanket per them all rooms were booked but it was maybe 5 other couples there... I do not recommend this place to anyone

Hair. Everywhere. Pubic hair, head hair, gross. Sheets clearly weren't washed. Requested new, and delivered quickly with apologies. Thanks, but new sheets still had (not as much) hair and stains. The charger port on the nightstand had... you guessed it... hair! Should have read reviews before I booked, but was in a jam. As a traveling musician, I've stayed in some dumps, but usually pay a fraction of this room, and at least they're clean enough. To top it off, it was NBA All-star weekend, so group of a dozen rowdy people showed up at 4:30am and raised absolute hell for a full hour. Pretty sure they played a pickup game in the room (and halls) complete with slamming each other into the walls. Yelling, screaming, jumping. Hotel didn't seem interested in trying to stop it. All the signs about cash deposits at check in could have also been a warning sign. Ice machine was broken, too, but I expect that from a third rate hotel. Shame on me for booking such a lousy room. Surely I could have done better for $175. Other than that it wasn't too bad. No terrible odors. Heat worked. Bathroom was functional. Mini fridge was cold. Door closed if you lifted it up a bit.

Needs renovations
The halls don't look like they ever vacuum. It's very old, It looks like they may be renovating the rooms in the back so this would change. Breakfast was OK, it has waffles and cold cereal. The ceiling leaks by the pool so it looks in disarray.
