Beautiful view from our room in one of the lower (downhill) units. Excellent restaurant with a great breakfast spread. Free transport to and from airport and storage of luggage before check in and after check out. Less than perfect in minor ways: Kitchen in room had very old stove but it worked. We missed the alert for late 3 hour water turn off one night which threw us temporarily. (Turns out the front desk had a sign that we all missed because we never had a need to go there.) All in all a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend.

Currently (May 2023) some of the rooms are renovated and some are not - it is best to sleep in the renovated ones on the 1st floor (room numbering from 300)

NEED UPDATE
NEED UPgraded Noget forbavset at se man byder mig og andre pa 2 sal (rooms fra 400-418) pa “old 70 stil” ikke vardig at betale HIGHT END price for such a …. Special Bathroom is a very bad condition and stuff like KETTLE is old fashion and not electric on the wall etc. Did I mention the “small” tv. The” only” selling point is the VIEW – absolute gorgeous – BUT NO private balcony to enjoy the view.. Ved check-in and before (sent several mails) ask for a QUIET room and was given room 410 (second floor no elevator). After 5 Nights when check-out I was told oh, we have renovated modern rooms on 1 Floor (room number from 300). So strange I didn’t got a chance to get a better room (updated and maybe more quiet) – Last 3 nights running kids made lots of noise and only first nights (after I mail to reception) somebody ask them to stop. I didn’t I book a room in a kindergarten!

Excellent hotel
This beautiful hotel has one of the best views in the city, overlooking Disko Bay. The hotel is currently under renovation, but all of the work is done during the daytime hours, so there is no disturbances at night. The free breakfast buffet is delicious with a variety of great items. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, with cattle facilities, so you can make your own coffee and tea, beautiful balcony overlooking the water, and all of the icebergs. This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my time in Greenland.

Best hotel in town… excellent staff and best tour
Best hotel in town and best balcony view. I was lucky that i got a room. Hotel staff as well their experienced tour operator guides are very very kind helpful and honest.

dårligt udstyret - men flot beliggende!
vi boede i en af lejlighederne mod vandet, men synes det var ærgerligt at der kun var en lampe i hvert rum, så man hverken kunne læse eller spille et spil. Der var ingen møbler på terrassen i netop vores lejlighed og der manglede bestik, så vi måtte spise suppe med teske. Overgang i komfuret, så man fik stød ved berøring. Alt i alt en følelse af at lejligheden var stærkt underprioriteret i forhold til værelser på hotellet.

靠海景觀很棒，吃飯購物都方便，去博物館也很近，可惜浴室廁所一直傳出臭味，房間地毯也有不舒服的味道，美中不足。

Excellent rapport qualité prix pour le groenland.
Une grande partie de l hôtel a été rénové. C'est certainement devenu le meilleurs rapport qualité prx de la ville. Les nouvelles chambres sont belles et confortables. Le petit-déjeuner est très correct mais strictement identique tous les jours.

Einfach großartig - immer wieder
Um mit den einzigen "kritischen" Aspekt anzufangen: die Zimmer sind ein klein wenig (!) in die Jahre gekommen ABER Die Gemeinschaftsbereiche (Restaurant, Rezeption etc) sind bereits deutlich moderner und (so schien es uns) werden auch die Zimmer modernisiert. Aber völlig unabhängig davon würden wir auch in die aktuellen Zimmer immer wieder fahren. Die Bemerkung oben ist "Kritik/Hinweis" auf sehr hohem Niveau. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Hafen und konnten von Balkon (& Bett) aus die Eisberge sehen (Reisezeit zweite Hälfte Juni). Es war fantastisch!!! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit; kostenloser Shuttle zum Flughafen und Küstenschiff; alles sehr sauber.... und die Lage ist ebenfalls super. Man kann zu Fuß alles Restaurants, die Tourenveranstalter und den Eisfjord (okay, das sind ca 2 km) gut erreichen. Dieser Aspekt ist nicht zu unterschätzen, denn es macht absolut keinen Spaß die Straßen entlang zu gehen (keine Gehwege, ...) - da ist "nah" in jedem Fall von Vorteil. Insgesamt: ganz toll und auf jeden Fall wieder!

Næste gang vælger vi lejligheden.
Vi har boet på hotellet i to omgange - først på et af de nyrenoverede værelser. Fin standart. Anden omgang boede vi i en af lejlighederne ned ved vandet. Hold da op for en udsigt og masser af plads og luft. Inventaret var ikke det nyeste men der var det vi skulle bruge - også i det velindrettede tekøkken. Næste gang vil vi kun bo i en af lejlighederne. Personalet vi mødte var generelt unge mennesker, de var søde og rare - meget professionelle. Det gjalt også det engelsktalende rengøringspersonale. Maden på hotellet var god.

Aldrig døm et hotel fra dens ydre.
Trods hotellets lidt slidte ydre og så lignede det de var igang med renovering af det, kan der ikke sættes en finger på det indre. Lækre materialer til både værelset og badeværelset, og fælles områderne. Super venligt personale. Og lækkert mad i restauranten. Booker gerne næste ophold der igen.
