"This was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places we have ever stayed. The lounge was filled with tasty treats and drinks in the afternoons and outside was a beautiful area with a foot bath. "I recently stayed at "Kappa no Yado Ryokan Sanjiro" in Zao during my trip to Sendai. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend this inn! "Great traditional Japanese Ryokan. They were comfortable with foreigners and did thier best to make us feel welcome. The Onsen was a wonderful and the dinner and breakfast provided were amazing. Probably some of the best Miso I have had. If you are not familiar with Onsen, I recommend watching a YouTube video or two to get an idea of what needs to be done. It is about a 15 minute Taxi ride to the Zao Fox Village, which is worth visiting as well."
