We traveled from Canada and stayed at Hotel Torre del Mar with high expectations — sadly, we were let down.
Our friends booked a room for 3, and Expedia said we could add a 4th guest for an extra charge. But when we arrived, the front desk said it was “impossible,” gave us a hard time, and made us book an entirely separate room. Only suites were available (much more expensive), and no discount or help was offered. Staff were cold and unhelpful.
Later, we left a half-full bottle of alcohol in our room after some drinks, expecting to finish it that night. When we returned, housekeeping had cleaned the room — and the bottle was gone. After being transferred between five people, we were told it was found but “almost empty.” At the desk, Ramon brought out the empty bottle and accused us of lying, saying it was already empty. He offered no apology and refused to escalate the issue, claiming the manager was gone for the day.
The next day, during checkout, the manager was kind and apologetic. She replaced the bottle and offered a restaurant credit — but it was too late, as we were leaving.
Unprofessional staff, poor communication, and zero accountability ruined what should’ve been a fun trip. Would not recommend
