Vila Lacman is a family run small boutique hotel on the hillside west of the castle (Foritca), and just above the beach club. A short walk to the square (Trg) and the port (luka) of Hvar.
we discovered you can take a long set of stairs straight up to the road the hotel is on (a difficult hike with luggage ) or walk along the harbor front go right past the cafe up a short set of stairs to a walkway that goes behind an old church tower. An easy route that is very panoramic too.
The room was small, but very reasonable, a lovely balcony with a partial view of the bay. Downstairs was a cabana type kitchen we used to make a lovely dinner from food purchased at the local market. We dined on the patio in front of the kitchen under vines and lime trees that were very peaceful.
The grocery store, a few hundred feet up the street, includes a second-floor restaurant with excellent foud and sunset views.
