Good value for money

we had to book this apartment as an emergency. the reception staff were really flexible. they let us check in a bit early and looked after our luggage after we checked out as we had an evening flight! the apartments are just near the beach so really nice.

für den Preis vollkommen ok. nicht unbedingt westlicher reinheitstandard, aber für budgetreisende mehr als ok. sogar eigenes Wohnzimmer mit Kochplatte und Kühlschrank. Keine Handtücher jedoch bettzeug.

En vecka OK

En vecka är ok, om man känner till området och har varit här förut. Det är rent och vänligt och man sover gott. Litet pentry gör att man överlever utan restauranger i omedelbar närhet. Klart billigt alternativ utan lyx men med det nödvändigaste.

Not a nice place to stay

This is an apartment complex that has been turned into a hotel complex. The room was very dirty. Bath room sink was clogged, shower was not working properly, kitchen was very dirty with rusted appliances. We had to wipe every area that we touched for dirt. The hotel surroundings is not that great. The guys at the front desk were helpful though. Ok to stay if you just want to crash for a night and do not care about other things.

Fick betala rätt billigt för rummet så då har man inte så höga förväntningar. Hotellet är fint på utsidan men det var inte helt rent där inne. Sängen var skön och stor men det kändes inte som att de hade städat innan jag och min vän checkade in. Det fanns inget tryck i vattnet i duschen och glasen och besticken var smutsiga i köket. Men personalen var trevliga och hjälpte till om man behövde. Hotellets läge är helt okej då det är nära till centrum och marinan.

Excellent budget accommodation with swimming pool

You need to acknowledge that this is not an hotel so do not expect the staffing levels to be high. The most important plus is the value for money. The rooms are sparsely and cheaply furnished but fit the bill for budget accommodation.there is no bar or restaurant but the swimming pool is clean and well serviced. So, if you want somewhere to sleep and rest for 18euros per night whilst buying all your food and drinks outside this place will meet your expectations. The staff are friendly and try to be helpful, however if you desire five star service and all the over bloated trimmings go to the Hilton and pay 70 euros a night. Personally I never pay European prices for hotels that are not in Europe! They are a rip off as their running costs are at local prices whilst charging Paris prices for a coffee etc.

Glad it was only one night

This place was large but the bathroom was horrible. Everything leaked, including the toilet, and the water was either scalding hot or a trickle. The location is listed as close to the airport but it actually isn't..it's close to construction sites and not much else. Checkout took a long time even though we had paid in advance.

Hotel Magma i hurghada

Ett mycket ren och fint hotell. Rummen var stora och fräscha med jätte nya och fina garderob i sovrummet samt en mycket bekväm säng. Rummen öppnas mot havet eller pool med en fint utsikt mot det vackra röda havet. Det enda nackdelen var att den var lite lång till centralen men totalt sätt var vi nöjda.

Rimelig hotell midt i mellom

Nå leide vi oss inn på dette hotellet fordi vi ønsket å klare oss selv. Det skulle være en såkaldt studioleilighet med mulighet for å lage mat selv. Det manglet kokeplate, bestikk, tallerkener, kjeler, oppvaskbørster og håndklær. Etter å ha sagt fra, gikk de på leting på andre rom og kom tilbake med det meste vi manglet. Hotellet ligger liksom litt midt i mellom Dahar og selve byen. Og hotellet ligger ikke på stranden som det står men på andre siden av hovedveien. Da blir det mye støy. Beliggenheten er forsåvidt ikke noe problem siden man allikevel får taxi i løpet av et minutt. Hotellet er kjempestort men det var få gjester her. Renhold foregår på den måten at de spør eller du spør om de kan ta en runde. Funker helt greit. Det er kabeltv på rommene med tilgang til endel internasjonale filmkanaler. Vi synes sengene var gode å ligge i. Helt greit å bo der om man ikke har for høye krav og dersom man er vant til å klare seg selv. Det er ingen servering på hotellet men de samarbeider med hotellet på andre siden av veien der man kan kjøpe frokost og plass på deres private strand.

cant wait to go back

I have stayed in Hurghada many times at both hotels and apartments and I have found these apartments to be the best yet even better than the hotels I have stayed in. The building is very new and exceptionally clean. The rooms very spacious and ever so comfortable. The swimming pools and layout was super. The staff and management were friendly and made you feel very welcome. I would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments to anyone. I hope to make a return trip for a longer period of time and would love to go back and stay there.

Hurghada dream

First impression was very good hotel looks very nice big pool and room very spacious, also porter could not do enough for you and didnt expect much baksheesh (tip). The hotel taxi service is very poor we was left expecting to be picked up that we arranged and he never showed. Overall this hotel was ok and you do get your moneys worth

Vi är skapligt nöjda för det pris vi fick betala. Men jag skulle inte välja att ta med mina två barn hit (jag och min man var själva här), då mycket var ofullständigt byggt och rent opraktiskt för en barnfamilj; varmvattnet tog slut efter en dusch (mycket liten varmvattenberedare). Dessutom stack det ut två elkablar ur ett hål i väggen i sovrummet...... Saker som t.ex. duschmuntycket och tandborstglashållare var inte fastsatta i väggen utan hängde lite löst på en skruv.... Dåligt med redskap i köket; för en enkel frukost funkar det, men inte för att tillreda en middag., Enklare att gå ut och äta då.. Städning och byte av handukar etc fick man be om, men det kunde ta ett tag innan det verkligen blev städat. En glödlampa bad vi att få ditsatt (det fanns en lampa i köket, men ingen glödlampa) under hela veckan, men såvitt jag vet sitter fortfarande ingen glödlampa där... Överlag verkar det vara en smula nonchalant vad gäller tider; som svensk/skandinav är man inte riktigt van vid det. Poolen är iskall och värms aldrig upp. Ligger dessutom i skugga hela dagen. Personalen är vänlig och vill hjälpa, men verkar inte veta riktigt hur. Det blir lite halvdant... Kanske man får ge dem några år tills de förstår vikten av god service? Det var som en enda stor byggarbetsplats utanför hotellet, vilket naturligtvis var i vägen för den s.k. "havsutsikten"..... Sopor låg det överallt på gatorna. Ett stort plus var dock det mycket fräscha bageriet alldeles i närheten; ägarna var tyska och hade mycket hög servicekänsla.

Appeared to have low occupancy.

This was an apartment hotel, meaning no daily maid service. The front desk staff were very receptive and helpful and they spoke English. They were always courteous and provided good information. Some of the apartment infrastructure was lacking: the door latch mentioned above, some bulbs were missing (they were replaced when asked), there were only 2 bath towels on check in for 4 people (they did provide more) a bedroom wall had been drawn on by previous (children) and the couches were stained. The price was inexpensive compared to other (nicer) places we stayed in Egypt.

hotel will be ready for guests in about 5 years

hotel was so far out of town that the cab driver had to ask directions 3 times. there ad makes you believe you can live as if in an apartment. my 1st room had microwave but TV did not work. 2nd room had Tv but no microwave. hotel was only open 4 or 5 months and was the 1st phase of construction project. the surrounding area was construction work site. access to beach was through another hotel across the street. that hotel was 2 stars with bad food don't drink the water staff was only saving feature. they tried hard and were willing to help.

Dreams Hurghada- lähellä rantaa

Siisti rauhallinen uusi hotelli, jossa ei juuri palveluja. Ympäristössä ei palveluja, jos ei mene toiseen hotelliin. Helppo liikkua taksille n. 3km pääsä oleviin keskustoihin. Ei ole rannalla, vaan yksi hotelli on välissä.

Hurghada Dreams - wake up!

Magma Apartments - Hurghada Dream är ett nybyggt hotell beläget mellan två turistområden i Hurghada. Det positiva med hotellet är att det är nytt och fräscht samt erbjuder lättillgänglig transport då det ligger längs kustvägen med alla dess billiga taxibilar. Hotellet erbjuder också fri parkering om du väljer en hyrbil. Hotellrummen är fräscha men tydligen måste man begära städning av rummet då detta annars ej utfördes. Köksgeråd saknades till största delen också vilket upplevdes irriterande. Receptionspersonalens kunskapsnivå var mycket dålig generellt och språkkunskaperna klena. Den jättefina poolen upplevdes som tämligen kylig - därtill låg den i skugga största delen av dagen. Omgivningarna är snarare lokala än rent turistiska på gott och ont. + Lägre priser på restauranger - Mindre utbud Kortfattat har hotellet potential - nu är det upp till personalen att förädla denna oslipade diamant.

Nybygget men endnu ikke færdigt

Et fint lejlighedshotel i forhold til prisen. Vi var 4 personer af sted (2 par), som lejede en 2-værelses hotellejlighed. Hotellet er endnu under opbygning idet de fleste værelser endnu ikke står færdige. Der går derfor en del håndværkere rundt på hotellet og gangene er noget påvirket af dette i form af dårlig renlighed (støv mv.). Hotellet ligger noget stykke fra "Ny" Hurghada bycentrum og har ingen strand tilknyttet. Der er derfor ingen specielle faciliteter i området eller på hotellet udover et fint poolområde, hvor der dog kun er sol halvdelen af dagen, fordi bygningerne står så tæt at de skygger. Et fint budget-hotel, men ikke et sted jeg vil komme igen. Vælg i stedet noget i touristområderne hvor der er flere og bedre faviliteter.

Brand new hotel

The hotel apparments are located on the Main road just between the two different parts of Hurgaha, Sigala and Dahar. At the moment the hotel is still under contruction, so the sorroundings can be a bit messy. Otherwise the appartments are very nice, and most of them has an ocean view. The bathroom is very well equipped with soape dispenser and a hairdryer. However the Kitchen is not well equipped and we found several things missing, for instance plates. However the receptionists were trying to be very helpfull bringing us the missing things. All in all - it was a good experience to stay at this hotel.

When we booked in to our room we found there was no toilet paper or coat hangers in the wardrobe and the floors were dirty and the whole room covered with dust. The crockery cosisted of two dinner plates, two knifes and forks and one desert spoon. The only cups were the small turkish cups and no cereal bowls or teaspoons. Whilst there is a fridge, hob and kettle, there is only one socket for all these, so you can only use one of them at a time.there was no cleaning service and hardly anyone every at reception. The first morning we tried to find the coffee shop, but were told there wasn't one as the complex wasn't open, even though we were staying there. They are still competing the other rooms, which is why the place is covered in dust. You can see the sea from the balcony, but there is no access to it and it's either a 40 minute walk to Dhara or a taxi ride. Having said that it was cheap and when the building is finished and they get regular cleaners and somewhere to get a coffee, it will probably get better. Marianne, West Sussex. February 2010
