"Good sized clean room, although the bunked placement made getting in the door a little awkward. Nice hotel and the pool was definitely a hit with our children."
"The hotel is located at a roundabout in the middle of nowhere. The location was mostly beneficial to us, as we wanted to visit different places that were all within a reasonable driving distance. (Luxemburg, Dinant, Rochefort, Bastogne, Namur.)
The service was good and the rooms were nice. The breakfast was remarkably good, among the best i can recall in terms of quality, though the selection was somewhat limited. The lady arranging the breakfast was particularly nice. Dinner at the restaurant was also fantastic.
The restaurant requires reservations for dinner, but they still accommodated us the first night when we were unprepared.
This place almost felt like a hidden gem, particularly at this price, though that is likely due to location.
Even so there were a few things that bothered us a bit: the rooms are not well ventilated and the heat in the summer was unpleasant, though we did get a fan to mitigate this.
Three out of four mornings we were woken up by noise outside in the mornings (we had the windows wide open). One morning it was the music at the patio 0730, the next it was hedge trimming at 0830, then it was the truck delivering supplies at 0630. All of this by the hotels services, there was also a garbage truck and some road noise (the speed limit outside is 70kph), but that is more or less as expected.
Shutting the windows mostly cut off the noise enough to go back to sleep for a while longer."
"MOTORCYCLE TOUR
Enjoyed my stay for the following reasons: Secure outdoor parking for our motorcycles behind a big iron, 24hr locked gate. Very comfortable room with air conditioning. Comfortable bed. UK news channels on the TV. Hot shower and lift to the upper floors.
What I thought was OK;
Breakfast, easy 15 min walk to the historic town for restaurants and bars, quiet safe area.
Problems:
I had to return 5 times to reception because my room key didn't always open my room door; but my friends room was fine.
Beer..... I'm a big fan of Belgium beer but ..... I ordered a beer from the pump and it tasted awful, sour and had a sharp taste; the receptionist put on a new barrel and I believe there may have been pipe cleaner in the system. I complained, and I couldn't drink it but didn't get a refund as the barman said he didn't drink beer so couldn't comment - it also had small particles floating in it. I had the same beer in town and it tasted completely different - very disappointing"
"We stumbled upon this hotel by accident.
We were en-route to Germany and decided we wanted a bed for 1 night to break the journey, so we checked Hotels.Com and this place was fairly close by, so we booked it on the spur of the moment.
It's in the middle of nowhere, and quite difficult to find, even with SatNav, but we are so glad we found it.
The place is on a Golf Course and is a gem.
The room wasn't large, but wasn't small either, it was very functional and gave us everything we need. The bed was comfy enough, the TV was good and plenty of power plugs and also a coffee machine.
The shower was superb.
Really powerful and good temperature control.
A lovely view over the golf course from the bedroom window, but one slight negative was the lack of a lift.
We were on the upper floor and had to carry the cases up a steepish flight of stairs, but it didn't spoil the stay.
We had a very nice dinner in the restaurant, and breakfast the following morning was also lovely outside on the terrace.
Neither meal was especially cheap, but we felt they were good value, and it was so lovely sitting on the terrace in the morning eating breakfast with just bird sound for company, and not endless traffic noise.
This place really is in the middle of nowhere .. but delightfully so.
The staff were all very attentive and friendly.
The car park is huge, but a bit of a walk from the reception.
In summary ... we really liked our stay and would most certainly come again if ever we were in the area."
"Hotel was lovely clean and quiet with great amenities. Pool and spa were fun. Only negative was we booked a certain room and they didn’t have it available when we checked in so we ended up with 2 different rooms. It didn’t matter too much for one night tho. Friendly staff"
