"This is a basic, no-frills old property that has aged well. The rooms are plain, and nothing but coffee in the office for breakfast. I am a traveler who looks for a clean place to sleep and shower; the frills don't matter. This fits the bill for someone who would rather spend their money on other things than frills in a room they will sleep in and be gone from in 12 hours. In cities, cheap hotels attract an element to stay away from, but that type is not touring the back roads of West Virginia."
"Parking was a challenge. We were blocked in by the Bistro patrons next door; however, the public parking is very close and only had to use it one night. The rest of the time we were able to park in the parking lot of the hotel."
"The Moore House is an excellent place to stay for a very quiet vacation. It is close enough to Marlington for daily amenities and is a reasonable drive to Cass and SnowShoe. The owners are great people. The property is very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast every day consists of assorted bagels, muffins, baked goods, cereals, juices, coffee and fresh fruit. This was my second stay and won't be my last. Highly recommend."
