I highly recommend staying at this hostel. We were made to feel so welcome by Moises and Eliez who did everything they could to make our stay in Havana special. The hostel is located in a great spot and you can walk to some of the town’s major squares within 10 minutes. My friend and I who stayed here will not forget the amazing hospitality, hope to visit again in the future!

The most comfortable room we stayed in Cuba. The staff is most friendly and even allowed us to keep the room till our late flight. The terrace and balcony is very beautiful.

Amazing stay, best hosts & location

My recent stay in this hostal was an absolute delight. The host's genuine hospitality made the experience memorable. They were incredibly helpful and always available. The location is ideal, placing you within walking distance of Old Havana's iconic spots. The room is also very nice, including a little fridge with drinks at very reasonable prices and all necessary supplies. 10/10 recommend this hostal.

We had a wonderful time at Hostal Los Villanueva. We were welcomed by friendly Elias upon arrival and met Moises who work at the Hostal. They were very helpful and friendly, we felt like home! They not only looked after us but we had insightful talks with them and learned a lot about Cuba, very interesting! Our bedroom was super clean and comfortable, with bath walk-in shower, TV with a wide range of channels, fridge and air con. We highly recommend this Hostal. ❤️

The hotel is very good, friendly and very helpful staff. The stairs are a bit of an issue (62) to our room. While the hotel is new and clean it is in the middle of a slum and you will be many blocks to find a decent restaurant.

Hostal Los Villanueva offers a wonderful option for staying right in Habana Vieja. The dining area and balcony overlook the bustling street below, while the room that I stayed in was perfectly private and quiet. I was delighted that it had a kettle as well! The staff were most gracious and helpful at all times.

Excellent hotel. The owner and staff are very friendly. The location is very convenient -- right in the heart of the old city, minutes away from all old city points of interest. The owner was helpful in exchanging Canadian dollars for Cuban pesos at a very good rate and arranged our transportation to Varadero. The breakfast is excellent. Would highly recommend.

What a beautiful place and an amazing host! We absolutely loved our room and our terrace. What a view and such a cozy and beautiful place. Our host was very attentive and helpful with map, places not to miss and any other stuff we needed. The location was perfect - only 12 min to the main touristy hub. We loved it and would come back again.

the roof top has a nice decorative tables that you can relax and drink a couple of coffee and view the city building and the Malecon ocean. the place was nice and very clean the staff where friendly. In press with the building interior desight .

Gem in Old Havana

Worth a five-star rating. The hosts attend to every detail, even rising early to make us breakfast before our 6 a.m. departure for the airport. Our room was quiet, comfortable and spotless, with everything we needed -- including a mini refrigerator, safe and hair dryer. The bonus: Access to a sitting area and outside terrace, where we could get on wifi and refine our plans for the day.

So many insects flying at night. Maybe I was just unlucky bad too scared to go out from room during the night. They even kept came into my room from small gaps like under the door. I had to fill the gap to feel safe.
