clean and comfortable

Very pleasantly surprised about my hotel room it was big and clean . Staff very friendly . Only disadvantage was the wifi wasn't working when I was there but it might have been just momentarily.

Nice location, close to the business I was visiting (and the airport). My room was at the front, so a bit noisy, but their policy states that noise free isn't guaranteed. Luckily, it wasn't too hot so it didn't matter that the windows were closed. Unfortunately, due to Covid, the bar and restaurant were closed so no food or drink, although my rate included breakfast. This was offset by the cancellation of the charge for parking (£8) so not a big issue.

No customer pick up working so £25 for taxis. No breakfast which was included in the price.I understand the situation but it was not on web site that breakfast was not being served. Broken lights in bedroom. Sheet just covering the bed (think it was a single on a double bed!!) No receptionist on in morning for second taxi number. Had to find a girl who was cleaning and didn't really know what was going on as she thought that cereals were being served for breakfast

This hotel was not properly clean. They wanted to charge us twice for the room. They were not ghere to let us in, nor available to unlock the front door ehen we wanted to leave. We booked a rate including breakfast then they refused to give us breakfast

Hotel staff were friendly, good location the hotel looked clean apart from when I woke up during the night with bed bugs crawling on me and in the bed contacted the member of staff who was brilliant , at 2am having had 2 hours sleep before a flight !!! Was not impressed I took pictures and owner denied it by saying it’s not the right place .

What an Amazing place to stay

I arrived a the Acorn Lodge Hotel and from the moment I arrived, I was made to feel very welcome. Food was great and large portions and very tasty I will definitely stay here again as it’s a top place to stay, before you fly away on your holiday

We only stayed one night but the bed was comfortable and clean, a hairdryer was provided (but discovered too late as it was in a drawer) and the staff we met were pleasant, the morning shuttle we booked and paid for the previous night was prompt and efficient. The only negative point was that a cobweb brush could have been put to good use on the ceiling of both the room and the en-suite.

Convenient to Gatwick

Just stayed one night prior to flying home at the end of our vacation. Room was small but comfortable. Reasonably priced. Paying for parking was a surprise... I wish any hotel that charges was required to state that in the booking sites. Breakfast was an option but we did not try it. Staff was very friendly.

Our flight was canceled last minute and we found this gem on the Hotels.com site. Our family of four spent the afternoon in a large room w a queen and set of bunk beds. Room was super clean and very comfortable. Staff was beyond helpful and friendly and dinner at their restaurant was delicious! I’d stay here anytime over a chain hotel. Prompt and friendly rude to the airport at 3:30am too!

Would stay in there again

We were a bit surprised the transfer was extra charge (per person, per trip), as it only stated "shuttle available", rather than stating "shuttle (supplement)" as in other hotels who charge for it, and the hotel was very close to the airport. Otherwise, the rooms and the hotel are great for an overnight stay, and it is only 10min away from the airport. Clean and handy, rooms have everything needed for a short stay.

A bit disappointing

No internet in the rooms only in the bar? Confusion over our breakfast and you cannot charge anything to your room. Staff friendly but low on customer service ☹️

Location is excellent, rate was good, but several lights didn’t work, part of the bathroom faucet came off, a lampshade fell off the wall, we were missing a tea service , No Wi-Fi, tiny blankets... Not a posh experience, but it served the purpose.

Very short stay/Very early flight

Friendly reception. Nice room with hot strong shower. Bus to airport excellent. Food good. Unfortunately had to wait an hour between starter and main course. Knock up at 2.45 was so quiet I didn' hear it so had to rely on my phone alarm. I would stay again because I consider the two lapses to probably be one offs.

Needs more privacy... And better lighting.

We could hear everything in the room next to us and I'm sure they could hear us... Bathroom had water leaking on the floor? Floors were very uneven and lighting very poor. Breakfast was very good and nice dining setting . Just didn't like the thin walls...

Primera noche: Habitación sucia, arañas en la habitación. Vi una rata en el comedor. Segunda noche: Habitación 32. No corresponde a lo contratado. Habitación en el último piso.pequeñisima e incomoda, jamás hubiera contratado esa habitación. Me han engañado. Jamás os recomendaré.

Comfortable overnight stay

Went to Acorn Lodge for overnight stay and early morning transfer to Gatwick Airport. Staff friendly, particularly in Bar and Restaurant. Room was noisey, due to leaking gutter pipe dripping all night long and, also, every time we tried to boil our kettle, the electric blew and we were left in darkness for a time! Very busy first thing with only one Staff Member left to cover Breakfast, Check Ins and Mini Bus Transfers Too and Forth Gatwick Terminals. Well done that Young Man! Can’t wait to see what happens on our Return from Holiday and our Pickup etc!!
