This was an absolutely ridiculous experience. First, even though we arrived quite early to check in, we were told no king-size rooms available, and we were only assigned a twin room, which we got the number as late as 3. The shower curtain had a very strong moldy smell.
After spending an exhausted day at Disneyland, we returned to the hotel and tried to order a taking out meal at the restaurant downstairs. Jake, who took our order, told us it would take about 15 minutes. When we returned on time, Jake completely ignored us. After making eye contact with him multiple times, he came up to say that we couldn’t wait at the restaurant door and insisted that we wait somewhere else. Another 5 minutes passing, when we returned, Jake still refused to let us wait by the door. Just as I was about to argue with him, his colleague Huang came to the rescue. She apologized for the delay of the meal and promised to deliver it to our room, which she did very quickly. We were very grateful for her help.
As for breakfast, the selection was very limited, most food was salty, and the seating was very cramped. Dim sums were reheated frozen food.
On top of that, a hotel at this price level didn’t offer bottled water, and the water dispenser wasn’t connected directly to the water supply—it used a tank to fill it, which made the hygiene standards unclear and questionable.
The most absurd part was that, as a Disney hotel, the room’s TV didn’t offer Disney channels.
