Super friendly staff, comfortable beds, area feels safe, we had the door open most of the time for air. Booked for 4 people and it was not cramped. Will definitely be booking here again.

Great!

Clean, quiet, comfortable. A great budget friendly stop on the way to Pinnacles. It’s a 2 star motel so it’s nothing fancy but for the price you can’t beat it. Fridge, microwave and coffee in room. Could not hear and street noise. Check in staff was friendly.

Great for Simple Travel Plans

This motel is kind of right up my alley for travel. Checked in with my girlfriend hammered after a wedding and the staff was more than gracious to me. I believe a lot of the negative reviews probably come from before the hotel was bought, maybe 5 or 6 years ago. I would say the only thing that could be improved is the water pressure and the bathroom needs a little love. The beds were actually very, very comfortable along with fast Internet and great TV. It was also quiet. We didn't see any bugs in room 140.

Comfortable stay

Very comfortable bed and great pillows. The towels were soft and the fan and heat worked well. The building is older but we had a very comfortable nights stay conveniently located just 40 min from the East entrance to Pinnacles National park . I accidentally left my phone charger behind and the office staff was helpful and kind when I returned many hours later to pick it up.

This is my favorite Hotel when I stay in Hollister. The staff are awesome. Very comfortable beds. Clean areas around the hotel, but need to better coffee. Their bags always tear.

Basic stay without surprises

This is a decent, well-run motel, with basic and functional amenties. Everything worked well and the location was quiet in the evening. No pool, but didn't expect one. Room was serviced frequently and WiFi connection was good.

Staff at the front desk where very friendly and accommodating. I was in town for work and needed a reasonably priced non motel 6 place to stay. Room had a fridge with freezer, microwave, and all the other normal accommodations. Plenty of food options, banks, grocery stores all in very close proximity

Hollister Inn vs. Hotels.com

Hollister Inn is an older motel. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked. The problem was with Hotel.com. I booked the room though them and was confirmed via email a couple days before my stay. When I arrived on 8/30, the hotel could not find my reservation. They finally found an email they showed Hotels.com had canceled it. Problem is, I never canceled and I did not receive an email confirmation of the cancellation. It was my birthday and I had reserved a winemaker dinner for six people and needed to get ready. Luckily the motel had two rooms left. But they wanted $50 more than my original reservation. They finally agreed to lower the price a little. I ended up paying around $45 more than my first reservation. I complained to Hotels.com twice, they called hotel to confirm what happened and said their resolution team would contact me. They never did. I am very unsatisfied with HOTELS.COM!

COMFORTABLE bed!!! Super soft and comfy. Spacious refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment. Large variety of TV channels. AC and ice machine both work great. MacDonalds directly across the street. Needs a better vending machine selection.. vending machine was empty.

It was great for me. All I needed was a room for one night. The room was clean and comfortable. It came without all the amenities but anything you might need is readily available nearby. That includes restaurants from McDonald’s across the street to $$$ on up just 5 minutes down the road.

Traveled about 100 miles to attend the Northern California Renaissance Faire, and spent one night. This hotel was well-located for our needs, quiet, clean, basic but comfortable enough, felt safe for myself and my friend, both women. The young woman who checked us in was very nice. A/C was on the noisy side, but effective. Only thing was the outlet near the bed was not working. I didn't realize this when I plugged in at bedtime, so in the morning my phone was dead.

I came here for a swim meet. This motel is pretty old, however the staff are so friendly. I like the hotel owner's grandpa 's smile all the time. Even the hotel owner, a young lady, is nice. Her husband looks nice also. It looks like a family business. My daughter seems to be ok. And I am okay to stay here. I feel like traveling to the countryside somewhere like another undeveloped country. I booked 1 king bed, but the bed looks like Queen bed. The mattress needs to change. The bed mattress springs are pretty old. There is only one table chair. The electric power went off when we heated up food in the microwave oven. The toilet function is not well. Even though uncomfortable matters, I am glad to stay here. Because we are safe and peaceful. This is the most important to us.
