We booked the private family room/suite. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our bags. Upon our return many hours later our room was gone. They did not mention this earlier and had plenty of time to do so, especially given that they sat us down for water to welcome us. The reasons for not providing our room varied, including bad plumbing to no electricity, but based on the conversation I witnessed with an earlier customer, I believe they gave our room away. The other customers had some sort of issue as well. They also booked multiple nights and the hotel likely wanted to accommodate them instead of us with our single night stay. I get that (a bit), but at least provide us the refund. The owners offered us the six person dorm room - without private bathroom. We declined as we did not pay for this and like our privacy, especially when traveling with our kids.
Also, the lobby was full of clutter and spider webs, and we had to remove our shoes and wear common sandals to enter. I appreciate not wearing shoes indoors, but prefer my own slippers.
Expedia tried contacting the owners, but our request for refund was declined based on the owners feedback. Fortunately we found another place where we enjoyed our stay.
I do not recommend booking here if you have to pay in advance as we did.
