As long as you take into account that this is Vietnam, the hotel had everything and more. They always went the exta mile. So much so that we tried to stay an extra 2 days but they were fully booked. As for the price, it worked out to be £18 per night Hostel prices for mid-ish-range room. You won't be disappointed.

The room was clean and had a great view of the busy street outside. But above all, the service by the staff, especially the front desk, was excellent, going ‘the extra mile’ to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

Not the good hotel in the similar price range
The staff are not friendly at all. Don’t expect smile, or help. They have breakfast included, but very limited options and everything taste horrible. I could only eat Nutella. The basic rooms are too small and have no windows. You should upgrade to superior rooms info you want windows.

Hi , I am one of the staff at Asian Ruby Boutique . We are really sorry for the bad experience that you need to get through with our hotel . We wil take this one as a lesson to improve our service into a better one. We hope that you guys, our guests can feel sympathized for us since we could not decide or make any changes about the room's area , but we need to admit about our poor quality of breakfast and the staff's attitude . Sorry again for the dissapointment

Not a great place to stay but you get what you pay for. Wifi in room not working quite often and water pressure in shower a dribble. Staff ok . All up I'd recommend you pay a bit more and stay somewhere else. This place is in a handy location.

Great location and price.
Great location and room was nice, clean everyday. Friendly staffs and the price for 3 star hotel but considering as of 4 star. Will definitely stay again or suggest to anyone who planning to visit Ho Chị Minh city.

Poor Choice - You can Do BETTER else where
dont be fool by the pictures on this "boutique" hotel. Hotel services staff from reception, bell boy to cleaner was all disinterested with interacting with hotel guest. Claims to be a newly open 3 year hotel but the corridor, ceiling plaster and wall paper is all peeling off and aging rapidly due to the cheap construction. The room itself was extremely small, badly designed with odd location for power points! Breakfast provided was in another property next day which is always a "red flag" in Vietnam that the hotel is off lower quality and standard. Couldn't check out earlier as I made the mistake of re-payment upfront before inspecting these rooms :(

I don't want to spend too much time commenting on it...but this is not a good address for a HCMC stay. Staff doesn't give a s*** and breakfast is so bad that we've preferred to take it from outside. Bedrooms are not so clean and the area/staff was kind of noisy. My advice: find another hotel, there are like 2000+ in this city.

Good location
The hotel is good location, but when I checked in and out the staff doesn't care and smile at all, they are not helpful. The hotel too small , room is clean but too narrow. A lot activities on this hotel , be aware.

cheated by hotel.
I have booked 2 Premium Deluxe 2 days, however, they only have 1 room available and the other is down grade to deluxe with all their up front prepared story .They compensate us free trip to airport only. After a short bargain , they promised us to change back premium deluxe room next day!! the impression given to me that they are not honest to customer on this arrangement . location is good. room is very comfort. but breakfast is bad.

Great Stay, Good Staff, But Bad food
Would recommend this hotel to all. Had 2 stay with Mayflower Saigon so far, pleasant, good and affordable hotel. Friendly staff and clean rooms throughout my stay. Although i was asked to check in at a later timing by staff, even though i specifically stated a early check in.But was fine, as i took the time to take a walk around the streets. Room was clean when checked in nothing much to complain about except for the hot shower that does not seem to be constant. Air condition was leaking water, making the wall paint to swell up. Technicians was called in (which interrupted my morning) to fix it. however as the unit was above and near to the bed side (Superior room) they were stepping on the bed with their feets (shoes took off, of cos) but after fixing it. they just used a towel to wipe/dust the part that they stepped on. (no bed sheets was changed). Staff were caught sleeping during day time (morning), 3 staff (maybe 2 bellboy and a receptionist). Breakfast for all the days that i stayed in was BAD, as the rice and noodles was always hard (seemed overcooked), the bacon and egg was too oily, the drinks were bland and tasteless, cups and plates are also not clean. Other than the above mentioned feedback, Mayflower Saigon is a Good, Affordable, Clean, Good Location, Safe and Comfy Hotel to stay in, but wouldn't recommend to have breakfast there. But i would definitely stay there again.

Location good. Service is good. Room is clean. The only bad part will be the shower facility which the mixer for hot and cold water malfunctions. Thus, you will be getting water coming out from your shower turning from cold to hot and back to cold repeated. Kind of annoying.

Nice hotel near Ben Thanh market
Convenient location. It's a bit of a walk to Ben Thanh market (15 mins) but doable and it's about $1 taxi ride.

Mayflower 2, spartan, but very nice!
Mayflower hotel is separated into "Mayflower", and "Mayflower 2". I stayed at Mayflower 2. The buildings are joined, and have different levels of luxury, I think. M2 has a very helpful staff, very well run business, "no frills". There is a beautiful park across the intersection, and Motorbike taxis will takes you anywhere in Saigon.

I thought I booked at the Mayflower but when I went to check in, they said I booked at the Mayflower 2 which is the same building but right next door. At first I thought it was a bad idea because it is smaller, but then after I checked in I was pleasantly surprised. This side is brand new and everything is clean. Service was also great. The reception and bellboys can help with almost anything. I asked them several times about where to eat and the gone on their bike and got the food for me. I gave them a small tip and got whatever food I wanted hand delivered. I will stay here again.

Booked online through Expedia. Thought I was booking Mayflower Hotel. When I arrived was told I had actually booked into Mayflower 2 next door. Really poor form on the part of Expedia. The room was ok but not what I thought I'd paid for.

The hotel with the wrong name.
The hotel whose photo is on the web page is 'The Mayflower 2 Hotel' NOT 'The Mayflower Hotel'! 'Mayflower 2' is the name on the front of the hotel. The Mayflower 2 Hotel' is a very thin building with only a reception desk as you enter. Despite having an assured booking, there was no room for us and we were put into the 'Mayflower Hotel' next door. After our flight from Australia, we were most unhappy with the situation with the hotel. The way to tell the difference is 'The Mayflower 2 Hotel' is in the address. This hotel is 20 BIS Bui Thi Xuan, Dis. 1. 'The Mayflower Hotel' (next door) is 20 Bui Xuan Dis.1! We didn't go inside 'The Mayflower 2 Hotel' but stayed in 'The Mayflower Hotel' whose assistant manager was very friendly and helpful to us.

I was told by the receptionist that the room I booked was not available and wanted to move me to another hotel nearby. I insisted to stay at Mayflower 1 and fork out additional USD34-00 to get a city view room. This is my first time booking through Hotels.com and was really not satisfied with the Mayflower 2 service.

fantastic hotel
it was excellent, I had upgraded my room to deluxe with king bed which was really a deluxe room room to the standard with two double beds joined but it was great, clean, modern and comfortable. breakfast was good and overall it was very pleasant for the price and quality of the hotel. definitely will stay here again if i come back.
