The room is small , old (you got what you pay for) but full of supplies for your living. So comfortable , so convenient. Staffs are great , friendly , lovely. That’s why forget about small room I will come back for sure.

I have stayed there before. Close to the main market, walking distance to the Saigon Center and the walking street. The staff is great. Professional, friendly and very helpful

A basic hotel . A big park within a hundred yards , and lots of restaurant and bars nearby. Little supermarket about 100 yards away. Staff were very helpful .

More about the booking agent than the hotel!
I had booked room vip room for several nights. On arrival they could not find any notification from hotels.com and only had a superior room left for the first night. I switched to a vip room for the subsequent nights. When l checked out and sought the difference for the first nights booking (100,000 dong). I was told that I would have to take this up with hotels.com. After checking the website and some blogs where others had this experience and said this would be a waste of time l did not bother.

Not a 3 Star Hotel, is a 1 Star Hotel
I booked the VIP room on Hotels.com listed as 30 m2, but the room is actually only 22 m2. The listing also says it's a 3 star hotel, but it's a 1 star hotel. There's a big government issued 1 star plaque on the front of the hotel. They have bathrobes in the closet, which is a nice touch. The wifi speed was 3 down, 0.5 up. This is a high traffic hotel in a central location. When we tried to check in, they asked us to sit down and wait for the room to be ready and then forgot about us. I had to approach the desk again in 20 minutes and they suddenly had my key ready. If you book the VIP room, it says the booking comes with free water park passes, when I asked about the passes, they had no idea what I was talking about. So the water park passes in their listing is not true. The breakfast is not a buffet, just a la carte. Late at night, you have great street food across the street with the after clubbers. Room Tip: Whatever room size you booked, subtract about 30 percent and that would be your actual room size.

Rooms Not Available Upon Checkin
The hotel has extremely poor management! I booked 4 suits on New Years, and was told no suits available upon checkin on New Years Eve. Of all nights to screw things up when every other hotel was booked solid! We had to argue for 1 hour and finally they moved someone out of 1 of our suits which I got. The other 3 rooms were standard rooms , so insulting to everyone. Then the hotel tried to short change me on the difference in price between the rooms when giving me a credit. Also the room is not as described and in poor condition. The carpet is the cheapest type of office carpet of something you might put in a basement in the 1970s. The bathroom door would not stay closed because the frame was installed incorrectly. The bed was suppose to be a double but actually 2 twin beds put together. I'll never come back! Other better hotels in the same area, try the Aston hotel!

Hotel is set up for short stays... by the hour. excellent location though on the main street of district 1 and close to everything which is handy. I left my ring in the bathroom and the hotel staff made sure I didn't forget it which was awesome and I am very grateful - Thank you! Bed was a little hard and the shower was pretty cold only but other than that it suited the purpose and obviously run by honest people

Yeah. From the title you can tell a lot about this hotel. Cheapish very dated rooms. In the two/two and a half star range I think is fair. Not the best smell. Pros, good location, mostly cheap, five condom allowance seems very generous for one night, but what do I know. AC worked well. Con, dark, dated and a little smelly. You don't want to spend much time in this room

Central but not classy
It was an interesting stay at the A25. We chose it due to its central location which on that it definitely delivered- quick stroll and you are in the hub of the city. The room itself was very small and had 3 locks on the door. The hallways were illuminated with purple and pink under lighting. Everything in the room was labelled, including a label on the bedside table which informed us that there were condoms inside. The room also contained a PC computer with webcam - this gave the room and overall quite seedy impression. Also worthwhile to factor, the windows were single pane and the bathroom one couldn't be closed so it was quite noisy.

The hotel is in a good location, it's the only positive thing going for it. Lack of English speaking staff makes it difficult at check in and check out. Continual power failures that last several hours, dirty hand towels found under the pillows and hairs on sheets when I first checked into the room. Was trapped in the elevator for 30 minutes and the emergency call did not work.

We stayed in a couple of other 2 and 3 stat hotels during our 1 month stay in Vietnam, all excellent. This hotel paled by comparison - hotel staff not all that helpful, room ok but not great cleanliness, and fixed charge to drop off at the airport is a rip off (we worked out too late).

A good stay although the service at reception on arrival was rather slow and sleepy. Also all the signs and staff call the hotel the Saigon hotel, rather the the Orient (presumably a recent change but can be a bit confusing).

good value for money
Great location with lots of shops offering local tours right outside the hotel. Buses leave for Vung Tau, Mekong Delta, Mui Ne, etc etc right outside the hotel. It's not a fancy hotel but it's clean, with friendly staff who are helpful. The price is very reasonable. Lots of restaurants nearby. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend it.
