"Had to wait over an hour past posted check in time. Was told some story about the AC, but, seems it was housekeeping as the floors were wet when we finally checked in. Room was run down..biggest issue was that neither of the two showers drained properly. In fact, sewage came up and created an offensive odor. "The room was smaller than advertised. Didn’t have a much space. The bathroom was stylish but the shower drain didn't work and flooded the bathroom. Also no hot water from the shower. What saved it a bit was the friendly hotel manager and the nice beach lounge across the road. "

"We stayed at the beautiful Ceylon Olive villa with our family, 2 adults, 2 children (9 and 13) for a week during our recent trip and enjoyed it to the fullest. Kumudu and his team were amazing and always friendly, attentive and helpful. For example, our oldest turned 13 during our stay and they provided a lovely celebratory breakfast for her with balloons, decorations and cake.
