Hotels in Historic Southside, Fort Worth

"I did not stay but canceled once arrived. I must say the staff was very nice and considerate. Booked thru Hotels.com photos and rating of 4.6 all looked good. Price was good as well. Upon arriving we found the parking lot full of folks attending a motorcycle club reunion. Stepping out of the car we instantly smelled pot and saw a large party going on poolside. Checked out a few more reviews and with the help of AI I found out the Motorcycle club reunion would go on until 11:00. People where in the parking lot I believe with no intention of staying at the hotel. We felt very uncomfortable and felt our car was usafe in the parking lot. We canceled our reservation and went somewhere else. I do thank the staff for canceling our reservation without penalty and doing so quickly. Check out more reviews besides Hotel.com in the future. Trip Advisory was not as kind to the property and already had feedback similar to ours."

"The breakfast was great and had a good selection, it wasn’t just muffins and coffee, it had eggs, French toast sticks, they alternated bacon one day and sausages the next day, oatmeal with a variety of toppings, fresh fruits, yogurt, bagels, bread, cereal, juices, coffee, tea, the rooms are spacious and comfortable beds, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would stay here again."

"When we first walked in to the check in counter the clerk was working on the computer. Didn't greet us didn't say will be with you. Nothing we just stood there. I asked," is this where we check in?" He finally said he with you in one minute. Once he finished with his computer issue he then greeted us. The lobby and sitting area is really nice. The hotel smells nice. The outside looks old timey for sure. There's no garden area. So smokers and outdoor book readers be warned! The room was cozy not too big a little small. There was a puke stain on the floor. Thankfully it did not smell. I did not like or understand the $20 parking fee! There's no garage people just open parking. Street and highway noise was tolerable. Buy your breakfast thru the hotel or hotels.com! It's only $9 that way otherwise it's $16 at the hotel a nd it's not worth it! Only thing good was the coffee. "

"I was woken up at 11:50pm by a barking dog. Went to the front desk to ask if they allowed dogs and they said "no" So i told them well there is a dog barking next door the clerk replied " oh, that, they just went to go get something in the dinning room, ill go tell them" the dog continued to bark till 12:20am. In the morning i went down to the morning clerk to ask the same question, after seeing the dog leave the property cuz i was outside enjoying my coffee. "Do yall allow dogs" she said "no, we are a not a pet friendly hotel" i asked "what about the dog that just left" the clerk replied " oh, i think they just brought him in there" i explained to her what happened, she said "sorry". I asked for management but they didnt get in till 1030am. Spoke with Mayra Becerra and she said to get 25% off one night. She was very short and rude and didnt even apologize for the inconvenience "
