"The front desk staff was not the friendliest. While doung check in she was on a facetime time call, which for privacy reasons i dont think was ideal.
The pool has a sign that literally says to ask the front desk for towels which I did, since I took my kids swimming, front desk response was "Were there no towels in your room?" I responded by telling her there were but I wasnt planning on bringing those to the pool if they were for the room.
Breakfeast was chaotic power went out and rhe machines were not working, there were no plates, and when they brought plates out they were dirty.
2nd day of my stay we went back to the pool, asked for towels again, my room did not get serviced and same front desk lady said this time there wasnt any clean and that she would call me when there would be some available...never got a call. "
"As someone who stays at the Nautical several times a year for week or two at a time the last few times have been disappointing. The families that come in and take over the beach and then trash it is getting out of hand. At the beginning of my stay there was a large group that took over the beach and left it a disaster the next morning. It remained that way for two days. They checked out and left all the trash, toys, kids toys, shoes, chairs, food and beer cans every where. I think you guys should strongly enforce the rules posted and make sure people clean up after themselves. We’re paying resort fees on top of hotel costs, and location is one of the number one reasons people stay here. The trash and random chicken bones are not enjoyable to deal with. "
"Rooms were falsely advertised. Elevator is broken, ice machine broken so they charge you $3 for a bag from the freezer, carpets were disgustingly dirty, moldings and bath tubs had mold, blinds in the room were broken. Worst place I have ever stayed in. Don’t believe the pictures that are on Expedia. STAY CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL!! I wish I took pictures."
"We were placed in a handicapped room. We weren’t told prior to. We stay at the Dunes 3 to 4 times a summer. It was our first time not being comfortable in the room. "
