The Esplanade Hermanus has a great location with underground parking for guests. 2 minutes away from the "high street" with a range of small shops and eateries. We were met at the road side, shown to the car park from which we had a smooth and professional check in. Our appartment was nice, clean and welcoming. The main issue was a safe in the kitchen cupboard - unsecured to the wall. Not very safe!! Overall a great base to use for two nights in Hermanus.

Great size rooms. We had a sea view which was great with a big balcony. Useful to have kitchen facilities and bedroom and en suite were modern. Not a major problem as we only stayed 2 nights but the wardroom shelves couldn’t be used as the bed was in the way of the wardrobe doors opening. Reception staff really friendly and helpful. No food is available although there are kitchens in the rooms and restaurants nearby

super comfy and great location

loved our overnight stay, wonderful views of the ocean and mountains. the unit is beautifully decorated with everything you need. very central and easy to walk to restaurants etc. staff were excellent, very helpful. only point to improve is on sustainability, be great if drinking water was not in plastic bottles and invest in coffee plungers rather than disposable pods.

Our stay had some highlights but also a few disappointments. Upon arrival, our room wasn't quite ready, which is understandable. However, the staff directed us to use the public restroom near the parking area, which was unfortunately in very poor condition—quite unclean and off-putting. It wasn't the welcoming first impression we had hoped for. The room itself was generally clean, though the bedroom carpets showed noticeable stains. The smaller bedroom (with its en-suite shower) felt extremely cramped and wasn't really suitable for two adults sharing comfortably. That said, the hotel's location was excellent and convenient, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. Overall, it was a mixed experience—we appreciated some aspects but would suggest improvements in cleanliness standards and room configurations for future guests.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Elani was super helpful and available for any needs. The place was immaculate and you could tell a lot of effort had gone into ensuring guest satisfaction. We truly enjoyed our stay here!

I would really recommend Esplanade as a place to stay in central Hermanus. The apartment was very comfortable and superbly equipped. It is also ideally located. The staff were really friendly and efficient.
