Lovely quiet location, only a 5 minute drive to the centre of town. The room was very spacious and well equipped. Great view from the balcony.

This was one of our favourite places we stayed while spending 3 weeks in South Africa! Mandy was awesome and made sure we always had what we needed and gave tips about the area. Breakfast was amazing and the pool area was so nice and well kept. Highly recommend staying here while in Hermanus

Excellent Overnight Stop on the Garden Route

We stayed as a family of four on our way along the Garden Route - the property was convenient and easy to find. Mandy is very friendly, a good source of local advice, and serves a great breakfast. We would definitely stay at 78on5th again.

Absolute, all-round great stay!

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. A special mention regarding a most welcoming host, Mandy who is very knowledgeable about what to see and do around Hermanus - she recommended some excellent restaurants and wine farms which we visited and enjoyed. She is definitely the most friendly, warm host we've met. The room itself is most comfortable, with views to the ocean. There is a lovely walk down to the ocean along a scenic pathway. Grotto beach is also a few minutes drive from the apartment. We managed to swim, although the water was quite cold. Breakfast was also a highlight, with each day the menu changes so you get a lovely surprise each morning. We will definitely recommend 78on5th in Hermanus and will be back again.

Beautiful and cosy place! Our room was huge (2 bedrooms) and very clean. Mandy was really friendly and gave us great recommendations on things to visit in the region. If you get lucky, you can see whales from your balcony and monkeys knocking at your terrace :)

Sehr hübsches B&B

Wir haben nur 1 Nacht in der Suite mit zwei Zimmern gewohnt. Das B&B ist sehr schön und die Suite sehr gross mit einer kleinen Küche und einer sehr grossen Terrasse mit Meerblick. Mandy ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Das Hotel liegt in einer Sackgasse und ist daher sehr ruhig und sicher gelegen. Mit dem Auto sind es etwa 5 Min. in die Innenstadt. Betten sind sehr gut und die Zimmer sauber. Pool ist vorhanden, haben wir aber nicht genutzt, da es auch nur 5 Min. mit dem Auto zu einem sehr schönen Strand sind - hier gibt es eine coole Strandlounge-Bar mit dem Namen Sundown und ein sehr empfehlenswertes Fischrestaurant mit dem Namen Duchies. Wir können das B&B, sowie Hermanus nur empfehlen.

The facility is excellent, clean, spacious. The staff are very nice and very responsive. Mandy adds a personal touch. She knows your name and remembers your name and that of all the guests.

Amamos o hotel!! Sua localização é ótima. Bem próximo da Marina onde se pode avistar as baleias e onde também tem os restaurantes e lojinhas. O quarto grande e super aconchegante. Ficamos em um que pelos fundos acessava facilmente o carro. O café da manhã delicioso com vista para o mar. Uma pena a gente ter ficado apenas uma noite. Queríamos ter aproveitado mais o hotel.

Nice Hotel Near Cliff Path Walk

The hotel is a short drive out of the centre of town. It is a short distance from the cliff path walk which has a number of view points for whale watching. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Hotel is 5 min drive from centre. There is a nature reserve just behind the pool area. We found the position superb. Decor is wonderful, excelllent breakfast. Mandy, the manageress gave us the most invaluable information about the area to make our stay perfect.

Made very welcome by the proprietor. Room was very comfortable with a comfy bed and microwave and separate bathroom.. It had its own private patio which looked onto a small communal swimming pool. The breakfast was excelllent with a choice of options which varied from day to day. Car parking space was off the road.

Sehr nette Besitzerin. Allerdings sind die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss nachts sehr unsicher, da jeder durch das Fenster gucken kann und es keine Absperrung gibt. Wir haben uns nachts sehr unwohl gefühlt. Keine blickdichten Vorhänge.

Warm welcome, large room, perfect location

Our bedroom was huge with a separate sitting area, kitchen, and outside shaded seating. Bathroom off the bedroom, which I always feel is a drawback when travelling with others. Nonetheless, a fantastic place, close to the beach, and only 5 minutes drive from central Hermanus.
