Had a wonderful stay at the Taj coral, Hussain was very helpful with all the food options and Russell kept the rooms spotlessly clean, Staff very friendly and excursions were good. Overall a smaller resort than others with a good friendly feel. Great views, nice and quiet and excellent for relaxation.

Great property. Clean , well maintained and contained/ easily walkable on small island. Spa was good. Occasional misses on food orders at restaurants (forgot to bring out one order for our party of 8 a few times but we were there at year end and resort was at capacity). Staff is helpful- food was quite good for 5 day stay. Many vegetarian options. Weather was good for 2 days then heavy rain and gusts so we stayed indoors but we were able to enjoy pool and snorkeling on first two days. Overall a great time- would have been better without the rain but can’t hold it against the resort and staff. Highly recommended!

Good stay as such but disappointing for a Taj

Overall, I'd say the stay was fine. I had gone for 3 nights with my wife and 3y old. Property is gorgeous and they offer lots of activities to keep you engaged (albeit quite expensive). All the activities we undertook were great. Friendly staff, decent emphasis on safety, etc. Scuba diving with their instructor, Sam was especially good if you're a beginner. The spa is very good. The food was pretty average. Everything we ordered was usually a disappointment. Not at all 5* quality. Meal service was also typically very slow. Cocktails and drinks were average at best. The room itself was fine for the most part. Direct access to the beach and generously sized. Bathrooms were okay. The worst part was dealing with the cashier Sathish. On the final night when I went to clear the bill for activities (nearly 1500 usd) he kept making a hue and cry about a few bills/notes of 25 dollars saying these were old or worn out. This was right before our anniversary dinner. The guys attitude and reluctance to give in was a severe mood dampener. I let them know while checking out the next day too (politely) but Sathish had bloodshot red eyes and couldn't really care less about he he had made a guest feel. The TAJ told me they'd be sending a feedback form but after I narrated my disappointment on check out, I think they chose not to send it :) Overall, for the money, I'm pretty sure you'd be able to find something better. We just took this because of the Taj brand. Likely wouldn't go back.

The property has wonderful corals and reefs in close proximity. One on the left of the jetty is really wonderful. The water villa are quite luxurious and the pizzeria serves good food.

3泊利用しました。 とてもスタッフの方達も親切にしてくださって、素敵な時間を過ごしました。 ヴィラから降りてすぐの海もとても綺麗で、魚が沢山見れました! 日本語が話せるZAKIさんがいるので、宿泊中も何一つ不安がなく過ごせました。 レストランもとても美味しく、Imaii,Madu,Hussain,Beem,Reehan,Saman,Afagが英語話せない私たちにも、コミュニケーションとろうと、簡単な英語や日本語の単語で話しかけてくださり、とても居心地よく過ごすことができました。 また、フロントのZaki,Esther,Rasheed全てのスタッフの方達がとても親切にしてくださりました。 日本人で、英語が不安な人たちにもとてもオススメなホテルです!! ロケーションも海も全てがとても良かったです!

Pleasant but not 5 star

Nice location on the beach, surrounded by protective garden from the heat, with plenty of privacy. Many food options and difficult to imagine any diner who wouldn't be impressed by the range of choice or quality of food. The bathroom needs more intensive cleaning to remove residual smells. Nice snorkelling for beginners and protected swimming in a man-made lagoon. There are a few snorkelling expeditions, and water sports at additional cost.

My wife and I had our honeymoon and stayed in a water villa. This was by far one of the best resort or hotel experiences either of us have ever had. If you're looking for a luxurious and relaxing holiday you want to visit this Taj hotel. You would not find better staff and service right from your arrival to departure. We were met by a rep at the male airport, we had a smooth transfer by speed boat to the island and on arrival to the island we were greeted by staff with welcome drinks and cold towels; even the executive chef and GM show up to receive and bid farewell to all guests. Check-in was done in our rooms rather than making us walk to the reception and was really smooth. The water villa was beautiful overlooking the perfectly clear blue water lagoon. You'll wake up with the sunrise and want to jump in and swim or snorkel in that lagoon all day The room itself was well furnished and stocked with all essentials and replenished promptly twice a day or upon request. Turndown service was included and didn't need to be requested. I don't have enough words to describe the food at Taj coral reef. My wife and I went over to basically compliment the chefs every single day. Breakfast includes a large buffet selection, an omelette station, and a hot food menu from which you can order

This has to be one of the best vacations for us. The hospitality at Taj Coral Reef Resort and Spa is incomparable and world class. Everyone right from the young boy who cleaned our room to the Manager of the resort are courteous and go out of their way to make their guests feel special. Special thanks going out to Kannan, Yangchen and Sajani at the Bokkura restaurant for making our meals special and memorable. Thanks also to Rana at Reef Bar for fixing nice drinks. This resort is highly recommended.
