Pros : Staff was unfailingly courteous and helpful . Breakfast was outstanding . Local transportation was fantastic for reaching the city. Local area as quiet unpleasant to walk around. Cons: Presumably a local climate means you need well sealed rooms but they can become stuffy with no options for opening the room to air . Internet was iffy. Most of the time it seemed to work well enough but it was pretty slow and often the effort to reconnect after being disconnected for some mysterious reason, was difficult.

This property was amazing, the sauna was great and the staff were helpful. If you needed assistance, they are happy to help. I will stay here agin when I come back. I normally don’t review but this exceeding my expectations. Kiitos!

I came over to Helsinki to go to the Slush technology show, but I came down with a virus on the plane over. I was pre-charged for my entire stay on checking in. The hotel layout was the most confusing I had ever found - it took me ages to find my room in the back half of the hotel as the signs made no sense. The room was set to 22degC and even though I turned it down to 20degC, in the morning it was still at 21.7degC - what is the point of giving people a thermostat if you ignore it? The bathroom was a wet room so everything got soaked when you had a shower. The skirting boards were painted black and showed up all the dirt they had failed to clean away. I was booked in for 3 nights, but the illness meant I needed to get home and to the doctors. The manager totally refused to offer me any partial refund so I got charged 3 nights and 3 extortionate breakfasts for 1 nights stay.

Unfortunately we are not able to make changes to the reservations or cancel them directly at our hotel system if the reservation has been made through third party site, such as Expedia. Guests needs to contact Expedia for possible changes or cancellations. We are sorry to hear that the air-conditioning in the room did not turn the temperature down. We are 24/7 at the reception and ready to help with any issues. We hope that we can have a chance to improve your experience next time you'll stay with us. Room was clean and spacious, cleanup was quick and very efficient. Communal kitchen was very useful and staff and concierge were friendly and helpful.

This was my first trip to Europe. This hotel had everything that I was looking for and made my visit to Finland even more enjoyable. The staff was super friendly. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable and had all of the amenities that I was looking for - nice room with a view, a great workout room, a very nice restaurant and roof top bar, and a very cool space for coffee and to get some work done. The location was excellent also - walking distance to downtown Helsinki, grocery store and an outdoor music venue next door, and nice restaurants. As a bonus it's a couple blocks away from Linnanmaki, the amusement park in Helsinki. All of that for a really good price!

I was in for a visit from the United States and wanted to find a place to stay that was easy access to downtown Heslinki but without the high cost. This place was perfect for me. The staff is exceptionally nice. The place was super clean and quiet with a great little workout room. There is a roof top bar and a beautiful restaurant and wine bar. I enjoy starting my day at coffee shops and discovered the hotel had a perfect spot for coffee and to get some work done. The location was great also. There is an outdoor venue with live music next door and a grocery store also. I walked and took a scooter to downtown. Highly recommend this place and plan to stay here again whenever I return to Finland.

Modern, clean, quiet and super comfy. Plus an over the top super helpful staff. A little bit of everything in the calm safe neighborhood, that being said could use a couple more restaurants. One of the best beds ever. Would stay again for sure.

Excellent hotel, calm atmosphere
Really nice hotel, next to a slightly quieter bit of town, but still easy to get to everywhere (a short tram ride from the conference centre in one direction, Helsinki Central in the other). Calm atmosphere, helpful staff, good breakfasts. Next to the old railway garages, which now seem to have street food, which is nice.

The hotel was in an up and coming area of Helsinki in a redeveloped warehouse, very close to the Pasilla shopping Mall and convenient for the airport. The staff were very welcoming flexible and helpful and the local area was interesting and fun.

Great place to stay with my family. We were in the middle of a long vacation and our stay in Helsinki was so much better since we had the Folks hotel as our ‘home base’.

Would recommend
Great hotel and great location. Cool industrial looking room. Really easy access to local public transportation. They have a sauna and gym, just need to book out a time with the front desk. Friendly and helpful staff.

Good but could improve
Mostly very good. Bathroom to small. When you take a shower, the whole floor gets wet. All signs on the breakfast menu in Finish (only). Just one bread. Just one youghurt. Service very good.

I booked a Loft room. The way this is presented on this site makes it look like a comfy option for a 3 person stay. (One adult, 2 teen boys). In fact they threw in a cheap extra folding bed in a room that is more like 200 SQ ft (20 m²) than the 300+ that the listing said. It is a very nice place overall, but for the money I paid I was really disappointed. The cheaper mini suite might have been a better choice, 2 regular rooms certainly would have been cheaper and better. Also, coldish coffee and thin hot chocolate in the reception machine is Starbucks prices but not very good quality. Breakfast was excellent.
