"Internet was very good. Arrived late for check in, but they left key and a note, so that was really thoughtful. (and appreciated) Only weird thing is that there was a Fridge, Oven, Microwave, Jug etc, but no toaster? First motel I have stayed in that did not have a toaster, so that seemed very strange indeed. "My room was small but not too tiny or too big and it had a very sweet and welcoming look to it. I loved the colour of the walls, the sense of privacy in the bathroom and I loved the bed in particular for it's perfect size and for how cozy and comfortable it was! I was also given a bottle of milk when I arrived which was handy as I didn't have to buy my own bottle when I had to shop at Pak 'n' Save which was across the road. "The rooms at Porters are beautifully kept, spacious and with ample amenities. The location is excellent and our suite was superb for our family. Staff at Porters are always a highlight - going out of their way to help and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The surroundjng area is loaded with dining options and is a short drive to surrounding cellar doors and scenic spots that Hawke's Bay has to offer. We will be back for our third stay in April 2026!"

"The room was very comfortable and clean. Well appointed kitchenette. We had a fabulous view of the beach from our balcony. It was walking distance to down town. The laundry was ok, it had restricted hours and the dryer was out of order, so we dried our clothes in our room. Overall the room and property was excellent. "
