"Staff was non-responsive and didn't give me the address or self check in instructions, I was stranded in Hilo until i called Expedia and they finally told me where to go and how to get in. Bed and chair were both ancient, sinking over a foot when sat/lied on. Towels smelled like mildew and caused a reaction on my skin. "Rainfall" shower head broken and dripped only cold water on me while showering with normal shower head. Ran out of hot water in the shower almost immediately. Terrifying dog...

"The inn was clearly run very well. Clean, well maintained, beautiful, peaceful, and real unique rustic character as far as aesthetics go. There was a fully stocked kitchen that we could use. Literally the only downside of this inn was an overzealous rooster. But that's Hawaii. There are wild birds all over the island. If you don't like nature, then maybe a resort will treat you better. "We have been staying in cabins for close to 30 years and this is one of the best places we've ever stayed at. Everything about the cabin is exceptional. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Volcanos National Park."

"This was amazing! Great staff, great location AND there's even a swimming hole (5 min walk, if that) with a waterfall! I've never stayed in a shared house before, but this one has spoiled me! It's close enough to be able to drive to all the good tourist spots. Oh, and hopefully you're there for the "big" farmers market on Saturdays. If I get back to the Big Island I'll be coming back here! Thank you for the great time!"
