"Awesome stay, can't say enough good things about this Motel! It is located in the center of town with restaurants and local shops within walking distance. It is a mid-20th century roadside motel with period correct design elements. The rooms were the cleanest I have seen in a long time, small but very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again on a return visit. "

"I thought the cabins were adorable and cozy. The pool and hot tub were clean and clear. The property was well maintained. The cabin room has a king size bed which takes up most of the space, so it is designed for people who travel with little amounts of luggage. "

"I think this is the best place to stay! Very comfortable beds and pillows. The water pressure is insane- its like a spa! I'm picky about cleanliness and this place was spotless. You can easily walk to downtown in 5 minutes to eat breakfast or dinner. We didn't eat the free breakfast, but I did get coffee every morning to walk to downtown and it was good. The ice cream pie at the Alpine Inn (in town) is soooo good! We got it to go twice and ate it in front of the fire outside the hotel. Tip:...

"Literally the most pleasant place we stayed. The staff was super nice! No problems at all. The breakfast was actually good. I have a gluten allergy and hotel breakfasts are always challenging. They had great oatmeal and cherries and blueberries and strawberries! They coffee brewed 24 hours per day and you actually drink it out of a ceramic mug. I highly recommend this hotel for the sights around mt. Rushmore. It was literally 5 minutes away. It’s right in the middle of everything."
