"Hotel is situated next to the Palace gardens (which are free to go in) and it is a short walk into the old town where all the bars, shops, restaurants are. It's a lovely place to wander round. The reception staff at the hotel are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We really appreciated this."

"A wonderful place to stay - and historic as well. The property is lovely and close to everything. The staff is very professional and cordial. Don't miss the spa area even if you aren't having a massage. It is lovely and if you can go when it first opens you will really enjoy the very large, beautiful spa/jacuzzi. There is nothing like it. The exercise area is fully equipped with all the machines you need. A special shout out to Ana, the spa director for showing me around. But more than anything, take a cocktail or wine at the world famous Mirror Bar. It is lovely and the drinks are beyond unique. You will have a specially trained bar person help you pick the drink that you will thoroughly enjoy. The drinks are a little high but not by U.S. big city standards. You might need a reservation, so I would check it out as soon a you arrive. Oh, yes, the room is comfortable and the bathroom is well lit with a very good shower. You will enjoy staying here."

"AC did not work, barely circulated the air in the room, certainly didn't cool it! Restaurant/breakfast out of order. Shower cubicle broken/difficult to shut then shut in! Shower head wouldnt stay on the wall."

"Romantic suite was very large with mezzanine bedroom. Aircon in the room was very welcome. On the Saturday night there was a bit of noise from the nightlife, but the hotel is very central so perhaps to be expected. The inside of the hotel was very calm and staff helpful. Breakfast was varied and good."
