The hosts were so friendly. We were greeted at the airport with leias & given a ride to the local market for some items. Beautiful garden, quiet location very close to town, beach. Sadly no AC, only a small fan & the ocean breeze to cool off. Overall great experience, definitely recommend this lovely place!

Great experience. Would stay again
I was solo. Mana Nui was great. Super clean. Functional kitchen with a table both of which I used daily. Did a grocery shop on day 1. Five minutes walk from a major Moai and really close to the centre but not smack mid-centre which I liked. Bed comfy. View of sea from my balcony. The owner and family run the place. The two who were present were extremely helpful and kind and respectful of privacy. They have links with a tour agency - i took one and it was fantastic so do not fear or hesitate going with their tour suggestion - it’s was great and the guide spoke English very well. I would absolutely stay again.

Very clean and well-located. Owners & staff are attentive & friendly. A lot of care goes into the Mana Nui inn! Our unit had a full kitchen separate & next to the sleep room. The wi-fi was spotty, but hey, that's not why we came here!

Your own home on this island paradise
Friendly and helpful staff, great location. Manager offered us a house instead of two rooms, which was great, and provided us with a fifth bed. Close to the only town on the island, and a large statue on the shore. Dogs barked at night, but that seems to be a problem everywhere on the island (saw 50+ strays in two days).

Recommend!
I whole-heartedly recommend this hotel. I found the location superb, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the accommodation was clean, not luxurious, but clean and agreeable with a lovely verandah where I could sit after a hard day exploring the island - often in the company of two of the friendliest dogs that I have met (hotel residents). It was great to be greeted nicely at the airport and taken back there at the end of my stay.

Perfect Location!
We enjoyed our five night stay here. The location is perfect to stroll into town or to visit the local moai. Our bungalow was surrounded by garden and felt a part of the countryside...which comes with cocks crowing and dogs barking at night. We had a separate kitchen/diner which allowed us to make our own breakfasts. There is a communal covered patio seating area where we met other guests and wrestled with the wi-fi. We also loved Toto the dachshund!

Easter Island/Rapa Nui is amazing. This hotel was convenient, clean, friendly and helpful service. Easy walk to town with great views. Bring a flashlight for night walking though somewhat lit and mostly paved. Feels like island-living instead of town-living.

Excellent location, you don't go for Internet (satellite). Rented a car from the Inn and saw almost eveything on the island. Used the kitchen room for my coffee and breakfasts. Close to a Moai site, used to go down to see the sun set. It was an excellent stay.

Great location
Loved my cabin and the garden. Its only about 5-6 minutes walk from town and restaurants and moai on the beach. Patricia collected me from the airport and helped me with a tour. Her little dogs are so sweet and friendly. There are chickens running about freely. All contributed to a great stay. I recommend the cabins however there were several dogs in adjoining properties who barked a lot throughout the night. The only annoying point to a pleasant stay.

Very close to the Western Beach
Every group of guests will be assigned a spacious independent house with different bed types. I was given a house with twin beds even though I was alone. The B&B was very close to the Beach and you might enjoy the sunset everyday. It took about 10-15 minutes to walk to down town area. The English of the hosts was enough for our communication. The weakest point was that there was no meal provided. But the kitchen was free to be used by the guests. It saved a lot of money as the food in the restaurant was really high in price there.

Lovely
Beautiful ocean view from the terrace-simple, but spotlessly clean accommodation, very warm hosts. Easy walk to Main Street, tours, rental cars, etc and easy walk to Taha tai to watch the sunset behind a row of Moais. Also close to the Museum.prepare for early morning rooster wake up calls-personally.m, we found it to be part of the charm and did not mind it at all-its a pastoral setting and it fits. Also two good restaurants nearby-we liked Hani Hani and te Moana.

I enjoyed my stay here. The location is great, close enough to town but far enough to be very peaceful. My room had a view of the ocean so sunset was fantastic. I had a single room, but it easily slept three people and access to the kitchen was appreciated. The room was very clean and comfortable. I loved the chickens and dogs roaming the grounds. I didn't get breakfast so I cannot speak to its quality. The wifi was adequate but who wants to be on wifi on Easter Island. I would absolutely stay here again.

Good Budget Cabanas
We stayed at the Mana Nui for five nights. The owner picked us up at the airport without a hitch. It was great! The downside of the place became apparent that first afternoon we were there: the rooms faced west and the sun was brutal, so I would definitely recommend that anyone staying there during a hot time of year (we were there in early April) find a way to be out during the late afternoon. A big plus for us was the kitchen, which we shared with one other unit. We talked with other travelers who stayed elsewhere where breakfast was included, but several of them said that it was a joke; all they got were a couple of pieces of bread. We, on the other hand, thanks to the owner's kindness in stopping at Hanga Roa's best "supermarket" on the way home, were able to have eggs, juice, toast, avocados, etc. We also rented a car from the owner -- who must be one of the most successful businesswomen in Hanga Roa. It was a very nice late model Suzuki jeep ($68/day), nicer than many of the cars we saw from other rental companies, although I didn't check their prices. We turned in the car the last morning we were there, and the staff drove us to the airport with our luggage --like the pick up, without charge.

Nice view of the ocean from my room patio and a common lanai. A dog and a few cats around that were all very sweet. Wi-Fi was fickle, but that seems to be a problem endemic to most places on the island. Common cooking area for very basic pots and pans so that one can bring or buy food to make. Given food prices on the island, it's a nice option to have. I would stay here again.

Not good value for money and note the location
Location: When I booked Mana Nui Inn I thought the location to be towards the middle of the Island and so outside the town of Hanga Roa (see the location map). Mana Nui Inn is, in fact, a 10 minute walk from the center of Hanga Roa and surrounded bu other homes. Please note also that two of the potos are very misleading. The beach photo is from the other side of the island and the photo of the statues by the sea (photo 24/24) is about 15km from the hotel. I was very disappointed to find myself so close to the town but I was only there 3 full days and rather than spend time sorting the accommodation, I decided to make the most of it. Hosts were very friendly throughout and very helpful with walks, tours, etc. Room was comfortable and clean but basic. My room had a sea view and the sea was a short walk. The nearest restaurant was a 3 minute walk. Area is quiet, but the roosters next door do start crowing very loudly from 5am. I was told there was no breakfast available, even when I offered to pay; not really a big deal as there are restaurants in town open from 9.30am. Easter Island is expensive, but I thought Mana Nui Inn overpriced even for Easter Island. My Friends stayed in a much nicer hotel nearby for less money and it included breakfast.

Good position in pleasant surroundings
We chose this hotel on the net as it was close to the sea and appeared to have a very pleasant outlook. We were not disappointed. The location was only a short walk to the main street and there were some nice little , reasonably priced restaurants close by. We had a fantastic 4 days on Easter Island during which we were very busy sightseeing. The hotel was able to arrange everything that we needed including a tour, car hire and a dinner show. In all instances we were picked up at our accommodation.

Solitude, moai and the Pacific all in one location
I spent 9 nights at the Mana Nui Inn in April, 2015 and it was everything I had anticipated. I had peace and quiet and was able to "do my own thing" undisturbed. The staff could not have been more helpful. Since I had been on the Island before, I was not interested in any organized tours; however, I did attend one of the cultural shows and was thrilled when I recognized Patricia as one of the beautiful dancers. Bicky, Patricia and the entire staff were excellent. Other reviews mentioned the less than adequate wi fi connection and I found this to be true as well. The Inn is located about a 15 minute walk from "downtown" but the walk is delightful and that should not keep anyone from booking this accommodation. The cabanas were delightful and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on my porch as I watched and listened to the Pacific Ocean. Thank you Patricia, Bicky & staff!

Would not recommend
I have never rated a hotel that I booked via Hotels.com this low. If you like a place with cats wandering all over, roosters crowing day and night, a mother and daughter duo running the place who treat their guests with superficial and obviously insincere charm but show utter disrespect by rooting through one's baggage at will - and when challenged respond with hostility - then this is the place for you. No wonder that during the peak season on the island I was one of only three guests. The other two were a young couple of backpackers who overnighted there. I had to tolerate 4 nights because the only alternative on hotel.com when I contemplated a change were some cabins for 4 to 8 people.

Ok location, and ok in context
And the context is that Easter Island doesn't seem to try very hard as a tourism destination in general. The proprietors put in effort into providing information and guidance around the island, especially upon welcome, but the facilities are basic and going in with reasonable expectations seems key. Wasn't keen on the attempt to extract a tip at the end however.

Freindly Staff
This was a lovely place to stay, with super freindly and helpful staff. The location was great, easy walking distance from town and very close to the ahu tahai, which was a lovely place to go and see at sunset. The rooms werent the most modern, but they were clean and pleasant with hot showers. The wifi was practically non existant, but that is pretty standard for the whole island. The breakfast was great - it seemed to change daily and always included at least one small hot item (eg scrambled eggs or donuts). Highly recommended.

Everyone at the Mana Nui Inn was most helpful. Breakfast was very good everyday and most plentiful. Everything was clean and comfortable. I prefer smaller family owned places to stay, they may be older and have fewer amenities but the personal attention more than makes up for those things.

The cabins are far enough away from the city center that it's peaceful but close enough that a short walk gets you to supermarkets, pharmacy, restraunts, car rental, etc. Daily breakfast was great. Very clean rooms. Pickup and drop off at the airport. Helped set up tours. I have no complaints and only great memories!

Wonderful Views at a lovely B&B
Easter Island is an isolated island with basic accommodations, but lovely/ friendly locals. My stay at Mana Nui Inn was very enjoyable. Patricia greeted me at the airport with a flower lei and a complimentary shuttle to the Inn. She drove through town pointing out points of interest and helpful information like the ATM, supermarket, and pharmacy. The rooms at Mana Nui Inn are basic, but clean and the views of the ocean are amazing. I loved watching the sunset from my patio or walking a short distance to the Moi statues at Ahu Tahai to enjoy the sunset with other travelers. Patricia is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what to do on the island. She helped organize a wonderful day trip with a local guide, Patricio, who shared his knowledge and witty insight into the island, horseback riding, and local dance show for me. The breakfast was basic, but filling with a different hot item served each morning (pizza, soup, eggs, etc). I am a solo traveler that felt very safe and taken care of during my stay at Mana Nui Inn. Since I have been traveling for 2 months and on a budget, I used the communal kitchen a few times to fix lunch/dinner and ate out at wonderful local restaurants. I would definitely recommend the Mana Nui Inn to any travelers staying in Easter Island.

Superb location, lovely accommodation
Spotlessly clean room with a really comfortable bed. The fridge was an unexpected bonus and the shower was great - Patricia warned that it was solar powered therefore may not always be hot, but despite several cloudy days during my stay, it was always a perfect temperature no matter what time I used it. Breakfast was fantastic - the same basic but tasty fare plus some exotic 'special' each day, Rapanui music wafting in from the next room, and of course that wonderful sea-and-garden view. Depending on your table you can even see moai. The staff were lovely and the location - just on the edge of town - was perfect if you like to stroll by an absolutely stunning coastline to get to where you want to go. The hotel's right on the doorstep of the Tahai ahu (perfect for watching the sunset) and an easy walk to the museum. Some days when I was feeling lazy I wished there was an on-site restaurant for evening meals, but there is a guest kitchen (also spotless) for self-catering, and restaurants nearby. Also worth mentioning is the convenient and reasonable car hire Mana Nui offers, and the island tours with Patricio - a terrific guide. I really enjoyed my stay here. Thank you so much Bicky & Patricia!

My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the four days spent at the Mana Nui Inn. Being within walking distance of the Ahu Tahai was a great way to start our exploration of the island. We rented a car from the Inn and had no problems getting around to see the sites. The Inn, though rustic, was very clean and the service was excellent. While we were not as close to the shoreline as we had thought, we could hear the breakers and it was a fun place to be. We didn't see any other place we would have preferred to stay. Mana Nui was the right choice.
