We were also aware before arriving that the pool is no longer available, although it is not physically removed as of yet. "Nice room and the motel was close to Acadia National Park. Quiet even though it was on a major highway."

"The location is great for visiting Acadia National Park, but overall our stay was average. The biggest issue was maintenance. Both the bathroom sink and bathtub were clogged and drained very slowly throughout our stay. Bedroom clean doesn't happen daily even we hang the please clean my room sign. Room also lacked some basic amenities that would have made it much more comfortable, such as a microwave, electric kettle, and a small desk. "Loved everything about this hotel -- location and the room itself was so cute. The only issue I had was there was some miscommunication regarding an issue we needed resolved. The reps from the hotel texted back and forth with me about it before we left, but the issue was never solved really. They did call later to try to follow up, but we were already on our way. I did appreciate the effort to follow up though. Overall, a nice place."

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Otter Creek Inn. The Only minor complaint we might have was the size of the shower in unit #5 (the only one we know about). If you are a large person that shower may present an issue. Other than that, our week there was great. Dawn, the manager was always helpful and we shared a few laughs with Evelyn over morning coffee. "Lovely property, excellent location, and exceptionally friendly staff. The breakfasts and daily snacks were a nice touch and greatly appreciated. The only suggestion I would make is to pay a little more attention to the cleanliness of the carpets and floors. Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed our experience."

"I expected a better place for the amount of money we paid per night but I guess Bar Harbor is a very expensive destination. The room was ok. The shower head was broken and there was no hair dryer. Both issues were taken care right away. It was nice that they offered complementary snacks and drinks. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. "Fantastic stay for our family of 5. Great location for us close to park entrance and easy drive downtown Bar Harbor. Great breakfast, much more than the “norm”. Lots of nice “extras” my kids enjoyed - nightly s’mores, a craft one day and the trail mix station one morning. Would highly recommend."

"We love the staff at the property!!! Michelle at the front desk made us feel like part of the family. She made sure our every needs were fulfilled and always went out of her way to help us. Dannette is the encyclopedia of the area. She shared her knowledge of the surrounding harbors and we loved all the places off the beaten path she recommended. We normally wouldn’t stay at a motel, but we had a hard time to say goodbye at Anchorage Motel!"

"Great room with awesome views of the bay and sunset and sunrise. Convenient to Bar Harbor. It is about 30 minute walk to downtown. Room was clean and comfortable. Only issue was housekeeping never cleaned our room while we there for 6 nights. I had it scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday but it did not get cleaned. We had to get our own towels and take care of our trash. This would not stop me from staying there again but it is important to know. Highly recommend this hotel."
